Crytek Announces Alpha Testing Phases for Hunt: Showdown

FRANKFURT, Germany – Nov. 9, 2017 – PC players will be able to play Hunt: Showdown during multiple closed alpha testing phases this winter, Crytek has revealed today. This news comes just one month after Crytek announced that Hunt — a competitive, first-person, multiplayer bounty hunting game with heavy PvE elements — will be released on Steam Early Access.

“Closed alpha will be our first chance to get player feedback, and we are really excited to see how they will interact with the game,” explained Hunt: Showdown producer Fatih Özbayram. “After initial tests with a very limited amount of players, we are planning to invite more and more testers with each phase. This is the first step in building a close relationship with our community and integrating their feedback into our development process, something we plan on continuing—and intensifying—during early access.”

More details on the planned phases will be shared via Facebook, Twitter and www.huntshowdown.com soon.

To apply for a chance to join the Hunt: Showdown closed alpha tests, visit www.huntshowdown.com or sign up for the newsletter at https://www.huntshowdown.com/signup for more information. Randomly selected players will be informed by email.

About Hunt: Showdown

Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game with heavy PvE elements from the makers of Crysis. Set in the darkest corners of the world, it packs the thrill of survival games into a match-based format. Hunt’s competitive, match-based gameplay mixes PvP and PvE elements to create a uniquely tense experience. At the beginning of each match, up to five teams of two set out to track monstrous targets. Once they’ve found and defeated one of these they will receive a bounty—and instantly become a target for every other hunter left on the map. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost everything.
