Castlebound Launches November 11th

AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico — Oct. 14, 2026 — Castlebound, the colorful, co-op arts and crafts 2D action platformer, developed by Ogre Pixel that fully funded on Kickstarter within four hours, launches on PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 1|2 on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026.

Lead skilled archer Lenora and her grandfather Vargus as they awaken a bewitched castle transformed into a walking fortress. Defend the castle from relentless forest creatures, ghosts, giant trolls, and dragons either solo or in up to four-player co-op. Fight these wicked forces with Lenora’s arrows, Vargus’ magic, Garrik’s knightly attacks, and Quinn’s slingshot.

Grow stronger over time with  roguelike progression, earning upgrades across each bout of face-paced action platforming. Jump, dodge, and unleash fearsome blows to defend the line. Should the party fall in battle, spend Soul Coins inside the castle to upgrade heroes, unlock new abilities, and increase future odds of survival.

Explore fantasy-inspired locations, including mythical forests, ghostly graveyards, bone-dry deserts, and scorching volcanoes. Each charming location comes to life thanks to hand-crafted 2D visuals inspired by classic storybook adventures and cartoons. Indulge in an epic adventure alongside friends, and banish evil from the world once and for all.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our community, who helped fully fund Castlebound on Kickstarter within four hours of the campaign launch,” said Steve Durán, Director and Designer at Ogre Pixel. “We blended tower-defense and roguelite combat into a colorfully stunning adventure reminiscent of pop-up books that invite players to challenge themselves or others at various skill levels.”

Castlebound launches on PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 1|2 on Wednesday Nov. 11, 2026. Language support includes English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), as well as German.
