Wreak adorable havoc during LudoNarraCon
LONDON, JUNE 7, 2026 – UK-based independent studio Milktooth is delighted to release the first Steam and Xbox for PC demo for their upcoming narrative adventure Bad Magpie as part of LudoNarraCon, the annual festival celebrating storytelling through games.
In Bad Magpie, play as a mischievous bird who, after getting abandoned by her flock, goes on a chaotic quest to collect trinkets in the hopes of winning the affections of a fallen star. Explore a small, densely packed, non-linear open world full of things to peck, steal, combine, and meddle with.
Bad Magpie will release next year on Steam and XBOX Series X|S, Cloud and PC. Available day one with XBOX Game Pass.
About Bad Magpie
Bad Magpie is a narrative adventure game about a magpie with one wing, a missing flock, and an unhealthy obsession with a fallen star. Steal shiny trinkets, cause chaos, and stick your beak where it doesn’t belong.
Key Features:
- You are a magpie – One wing. No flock. One obsession: a fallen star that wants trinkets and nothing else. Your plan is simple: Find the trinkets. Win over the star. Cure your loneliness.
- A world teeming with secrets – From shattering glass by screeching into a megaphone to sparking a flame by pecking flint, Bad Magpie runs on a delightfully elastic cartoonish logic and rewards anyone curious enough to mess with it. Every puzzle has multiple solutions. Most of them are intentional.
- A mystery driving the whole thing – You are haunted by a mysterious vision. What is it? Why is it appearing now? And how long will the star keep you distracted from it?
