Summary:
The issue starts within the desert, where the two men are misplaced after being pulled into the portal. The men are stranded within the desert of Shem, where they see a dead dragon that Conan believes is the dragon they are actively hunting.
Conan finds a magic bone pendant that he tries to inquire about, but the villagers spit at him. In a flurry, he is able to force important information out of the villagers about the whereabouts of the magic gems. This issue is another solid issue, as Dragonero and Conan are centering their focus on the whereabouts of the gems instead of the dragon.

The issue ends with the discovery of a secret ritual taking place, with a werewolf manifesting at the end.
Issue #5 is another solid issue and it should be a nice pickup for Conan readers that are wanting a separate story outside of the main Conan books.
Overall: 8/10
