QPAD Edge Mousepad Review

QPAD, the iconic Swedish gaming and esports brand, has officially returned with a lineup of high-performance gaming accessories for your setup. Their new range is available exclusively at Currys in the UK and online. We are thankful to have been sent the QPAD Edge Mousepad XXL WIDE, which retails at (RRP £44.99/€55.99).

The QPAD EDGE Mousepad Series is built for gamers who want precision, comfort and durability. Featuring a smooth performance surface, seamless edge stitching, and a non-slip rubber base, these mousepads offer consistent glide and solid control for any mouse sensor. With four size options: M, L, XL, and XXL Wide, there is a perfect fit for every desk and playstyle.

The mousepad comes in a premium, long rectangular box that displays all the key features and specifications. Once unrolled, the first impression is the sleek, minimalist black-and-white design. The XXL Wide version 900 × 400 × 4 mm (666 g) is noticeably large, which is great for covering most, if not all, of your desk space. At 4 mm thick, it has enough cushion without feeling bulky, blending into your desk surface naturally. There is no slipping or lifting thanks to the quality rubber base, making it feel firmly anchored during gameplay. This is essential for good-quality mousepads, so they feel as though nothing is interfering.

The QPAD mouse pad has a striking design using a topographic map style pattern with wavy lines and symbols that almost look like geographic markers on a radar. The black background with contrasting white lines gives it a clean, modern look that stands out without being too flashy. This design will appeal to a large range of gamers who enjoy something that looks sleek and organised on their desk.

In terms of everyday use and gaming performance, the QPAD Edge XXL Wide does a great job at balancing speed and control. The cloth surface provides a smooth, consistent glide so your mouse movements feel natural. It supports both optical and laser sensors without any tracking issues, making it a versatile pick no matter which mouse you use. The stitched edges are a huge plus, helping prevent the mousepad from bending and getting damaged over time.

The non-slip rubber base keeps it firmly locked in place. Even during intense swipes and flicks, the pad does not budge at all, which is something I definitely appreciated in games. Whether you are casually browsing the internet or sweating through clutch moments, the Edge Mousepad keeps your movements controlled and consistent. It feels like a premium upgrade the moment you rest your wrist on it.

I have always been a fan of larger mouse pads like such because they provide consistent tracking for gaming-grade mice across a big area. It also reduces noise and vibration from the keyboard. The thickness of the mousepad also adds comfort for your hands and forearms during long sessions. The majority of the time, the mousepad is aesthetically pleasing enough that it looks like a desk mat with an amazing purpose. The design especially pulls everything together for a more cohesive and cleaner desk layout.

I will thoroughly emphasise that the bigger size of the mouse pad allows for plenty of vertical and horizontal space for sweeping movements. In comparison to a smaller-sized mouse pad, this is a lot better because you do not need to feel restricted with your mouse pad. Of course, the size also goes hand-in-hand with your mouse sensitivity settings for sweeping movements.

As someone who plays competitive FPS games, I felt that this mousepad provided great coverage, and I am aware that, depending on different surfaces of the pad, the cursor can feel different. Like, for instance, if we were to compare the Edge Mousepad vs the Obsidian glass mousepad, you can feel the difference heavily as your mouse slides off so much more on the glass, making your mouse highly sensitive in comparison to the grip it has with the cloth pad. Playing casually, competitively, and just daily use of the mouse pad felt great, and there were no issues with the performance. Definitely a quality upgrade if you want to elevate your desk setup.

If you are looking to upgrade your setup with a mousepad that offers smooth performance, long-lasting durability and a stylish, modern design, the QPAD Edge Mousepad XXL Wide is absolutely worth checking out. Its extensive coverage gives you all the space you need for low-sensitivity gaming and arm movements, while the comfortable 4mm cushioning and stitched edges make it feel premium. This mousepad keeps your desk organised, enhances precision and handles everyday use just as well as intense gaming sessions. Delivering a high function and quality for a reasonable price!

Overall: 9/10
