Two garbage men are about to have one hell of a day! As a murderous cult consisting of the entertainment industry's elite, are out to kill them. James and Billy take a detour from their normal everyday route, when they come under attack by a biplane, try to control a wildfire, fight off a giant robot and wade their way through the sewers only to be set upon by a famous magician & their drag wearing alligator. And that isn’t the end of it either. They certainly need to have a sit down with their trade union after their shift ends - if they survive it?!

Well Mad Cave Studios has never failed to publish anything less that interesting. Now we have all known Hollywood to be the place where dreams come through and movies are being filmed left, right and centre! Movie stars reside in their big ass mansions in the Hills and normal folk still continue about their everyday lives. That includes our local garbage men, who have found themselves in a spot of bother when they unknowingly end up in the bad books of Hollywood’s most influential exec. With a cast of crazy individuals that make up the secretive Privy Council, some unrealistic chaos and many near death interactions.

All under the ‘control’ of the head of the Privy council - Papa. Also known as the elusive King of Hollywood ‘Mr. Grapevine’. A disillusioned individual, who dresses like Vincent Van Ghoul from Scooby Doo, who has blackmail on all of the important people in the city. The members of his council soon dwindled through some explosive endings, all of the individuals involved each had their own quirk. However the one character that stood out was Blah-Blah, also known as Talk-Show Queen Miss Opez. Man her backstory was tragic! Although ‘Papa’ set up her career and a marriage that secured her acceptance into the entertainment industry, she was just as driven as him and held so much resentment towards the man in the end. That arc alone was enough just to read this series. I’m unsure if there will be more issues, as this collected release is marked down as a Volume 1.

Haley and Max arrive on the footsteps of Wayfair Academy, a boarding school for teens with special needs. Life has been harsh for them thus far, especially after the passing of their mother. With no real family left to care for them, they have done all they can to stay together. Haley has been deaf since birth and Max has more or less turned into her bodyguard. Over a short period of time at the school, they begin to find a new family amongst the friends they have made. However after one such night when they decide to break into a teachers office in order to get their confiscated phone back, they begin to develop a taste for crime. The group begin planning their next heist when the future of one of their friends' education lies in the balance. They soon find out though they have stolen from the wrong person, as their ‘hobby’ now becomes the leverage this man needs to blackmail them into doing his dirty work. The plot develops even more, when the teens devise a plan to be rid of this criminal forever.

"pantomime_1"

Pantomime was a six issue series that debuted from Mad Cave just last November, and has now been compiled in this single tradeback volume. The series follows a group of deaf teens as they go about pulling off some impressive robberies, confident in their skills and the fact that they would be the least suspected individuals based on their disabilities. For a while there, they were pulling off the perfect crimes. Some of the ideas were immense and almost insane, yet they still managed to pull them off. The taste for the world of crime had soon become an addiction. They used whatever they stole to benefit their futures, because going by the family they had around them - they well and truly needed the help. Each member of this teenage cartel had their own unique skill set, from cracking safes to lock picking, others were even security hackers. However it only takes one bad egg amongst them to jeopardize the entire operation - and its always who you least expect.

Pantomime was created by Christopher Sebela, an American author and journalist that has a very lengthy CV and career to date. His work has been published by many comic giants in the industry, including Image Comics, DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, IDW and more. He has written many issues for established comic series, including Harley Quinn, Ghostrider, Hellraiser and more yet again. As well as writing his own pieces of work, including the Dumbstronaut series, he is also the co-founder of the indie collective publishing imprint - Two Headed Press. Alongside this very creative story, are the illustrations of David Stoll. A freelance comic artist from Arizona, USA, whose work can be sampled over on his website here - http://stollcomics.com/ Although there isn’t much information I could find on other published works he has contributed to, I am sure he has a line of interested people just filling up his inbox with the next job offer going by the success alone of Pantomime.

"pantomime_2"

This was such a thrilling series, that I am actually disappointed that it has come to its end, but it was done with elegance. It could be explored more, but they have certainly tied it off in a way that fans would still be satisfied with leaving the story there. You can currently buy each one of the 6 issue Pantomime series separately, or you can purchase the collected volume which will be available in print and digital through the link below. Also as always, do your best to buy from your local comic book store.

Mad Cave Announces New Series from 2019 Talent Search Winners

Diego Gomez is tired of the drugs and violence that surround him. He wants nothing more than to escape west and leave the neon lights of 1980s Miami behind him. With the help of three friends, Diego hatches a plan to rob the most dangerous gang in the city, Los Marielitos. Filled with Latin-American influences, Dry Foot is a coming-of age-tale that deals with family, friendship, trust, and adversity.

Many would kill to live in the Magic City. Others would die to leave it behind.

Story by Jarred Lujan, with art by Orlando Caicedo (Pound) and colors by Warnia Sahadewa (Shades of Magic). Letterer Justin Birch (RV9) rounds out the creative team.

Mad Cave’s own Chris Fernandez has this to say:

“I am so excited to see this mini-series come to life, not only because it takes place in the city I call home, but also because of my Latin heritage. This is a story that is relatable in more ways than one and so are the characters in it. Dry Foot will have you laughing at the characters as they interact, cheering for them to succeed, and crying when it’s all over and I hope you enjoy every second of it!”

Lujan said:

“Dry Foot was a uniquely emotional experience for me. A lot of me, and my own group of teenage troublemaker friends, made its way into the script. I’m very proud of this book, of the incredible art team that brought it to life, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Artist Orlando adds:

"I've been having a blast working on Dry Foot! It's been a joy and an honor to be able to depict Latin characters and culture on the comic page, not to mention the fun I'm having getting to draw a story set in the 1980s. Plus, we have a great team working on the book and everyone is bringing their A-game which shows in the finished product. Mad Cave Announces New Series from the Writer of Show's End and the Art Team behind Clankillers

What if four children were abducted by a UFO and implanted with stolen technology capable of destroying an ancient alien race? What if twenty years later those same aliens want what was taken from them? Find out in Mad Cave’s intergalactic new series: Stargazer.

Story by Anthony Cleveland (Show’s End), with art by Antonio Fuso (Wyrd) and Stefano Simeone (Clankillers). Letterer Justin Birch (RV9) rounds out the creative team.

Mad Cave’s Editor-in-Chief Chris Fernandez explains:

“From the moment we started playing with the idea of Stargazer, I knew this was going to be a special book. Whether you’re into coming of age stories like Stand by Me or UFO classics like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Stargazer has something for you.”

Writer Anthony Cleveland adds:

"I truly enjoyed crafting the personal stakes for each character in comparison to the massive cosmic conflict going on above their heads. What comes from that is an emotional story that I can't wait to see readers respond to."

Artist Antonio Fuso said:

"Anthony Cleveland does an amazing job blending the feel of a vintage blockbuster with all of the impact of a modern-day sci-fi thriller. You'll love this book as much as I love working on it."

The Theory: A Twisted Sci-Fi Series

“An archaeologist is working to save our future, a time traveller is working to fix our past." A spin-off from the Twisted Dark series

Years in the making, from the writers of Stan Lee's Lucky Man graphic novel, The Theory - A Twisted Sci-Fi is finally ready!

The first volume is finished and ready to go! If you like Black Mirror, The Twilight Zone or stories that make you think - this is the comic for you.

What is it about?

Like Twisted Dark, The Theory is an interconnected series of short stories with twist endings. There are three main plot lines throughout the story which slowly come together as the series progresses.

"theory1_1"

Humans have achieved the seemingly impossible – faster than light travel.

Despite discovering hundreds and hundreds of planets that once contained intelligent life, not a single planet has been found where that life still remains. All these planets have one thing in common - the civilizations have been wiped out, either by accident or by design.

Linda is an Astroarchaeologist and her job is to find these dead civilizations and learn from them, so humans avoid the same fate.

"theory1_2"

As Linda discovers what happened to all the civilisations, she sees parallels for our own future but is nonetheless filled with hope for the past.

Jemm-r is a time traveller, part of a group whose mission is to reduce human suffering.

"theory1_3"

Common belief is that any small changes in history would adhere to the Chaos theory, with massive differences down the line.
The actual mathematics behind it show this is not the case. Incredibly a few hundred years later, almost no difference appears in the timelines. With this knowledge, Jemm-r’s team's mission is to travel in time and do minimal alterations to reduce human suffering throughout history. It is a truly noble profession.

Or is it?

The third plotline involves…well, that would be a spoiler and we’re simply not giving it away at this point. You’ll have to read it to find it out! :)

The Theory is written by Neil Gibson, illustrated by a rotating team of awesome artists, coloured by the brilliant Liezl Buenaventura and lettered by Justin Birch. The whole first volume is finished and ready to print.

The Kickstarterpage: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2032518373/the-theory-a-twisted-sci-fi-series/

"hollywoodtrashTPB_1"

Hollywood Trash was created by Stephen Sonneveld, an award-winning writer whose work has appeared in Bleacher Report, MAD and ProWrestling Illustrated. Stephen currently writes and performs audio dramas for the Chicago-based radio program “The Don’t Call Me Sweetheart! Show”. While Pablo Verdugo is behind the illustrations, which captivated the crazy action that was taking place in every issue. He is also the creator behind webcomic - Cat Knight (https://tapas.io/episode/1661212). His work has also been published by IDW Publishing, ActionLab, Cloud9 Comics and Winter City Productions. With Mad Cave Studios handing this release.

Can't wait to share this book with the world."

Dry Foot #1 will hit store shelves in June 2020.

"DryFoot1"

Print copies of DRY FOOT will be available at local comic book shops (use comicshoplocator.com to find the nearest one) or at the MAD CAVE STUDIOS website www.madcavestudios.com.
