Summary:
Nothing but Blood starts off with Hellboy in Hell again as he follows the trail of a deer. He walks deeper into the dark pits until he hears the screams of a girl. Hellboy chases away imps that try to capture her, and he succeeds. The artwork by Cyrille Pomès looks great and looks “scratchy” in a sense; the dark colors are evident, but they don’t clash with the illustrations; Hellboy still looks huge in scale compared to the girl, and she looks young but capable.

The issue continues as the girl takes him to an abandoned house within Pandemonium, and action ensues as many imps attack him. She tells Hellboy that she was once a slave yet escaped from her father, who sold her for magic beans. The dialogue is sparse here, as more attention is paid to how Hellboy defends himself against the imps. If readers have read other Hellboy in Hell issues, then they will know that Hellboy frequents Pandemonium and that the demons flee before he returns.

Another solid issue, although there was sparse dialogue and more focus on the steady progression of saving the girl from imps and being lured into Pandemonium again. Still, this is a solid issue as it features a story that is present and easy to follow for readers.
Overall: 8/10
