Burgle Supply Company Review

Burgle Supply Company is a chaotic co-op burglary game developed and published by Terrible Posture Games. The game throws players into dangerous heists where teams of up to six burglars must sneak through houses, steal valuables and escape before everything spirals into a complete mess.

Burgle Supply Company honestly feels like a mix between Crime Simulator and Lethal Company. The premise itself is actually really solid, and when I first jumped into the game, I was excited by the idea of sneaking through houses with a full squad while trying to avoid making noise. The game is also relatively cheap compared to most co-op games right now, and the fact that you can play with up to six players is definitely one of its biggest strengths. That said, while the concept is strong, the gameplay itself felt a little underwhelming at times, and there are definitely some issues holding it back from reaching its full potential. Still, I can absolutely see the potential here if future updates smooth things out a bit more.

The gameplay loop is very straightforward. You and your team of burglars choose a mission where you raid a house, steal valuables, and try to hit a required quota before things spiral out of control. Alongside the main objective, there are additional themed tasks where you may need to collect specific items like artwork, Halloween decorations, or even drag massive furniture like sofas out to the van. Pretty much anything with a value tag can be stolen, so most of the gameplay revolves around grabbing objects and carefully transporting them back without creating too much noise.

And honestly, the noise mechanic is where the game becomes both fun and frustrating. Almost everything creates noise: moving objects, bumping into furniture, dropping items, or even lightly brushing past another player. The more players you have, the more chaotic everything becomes. When we first played with a full six-player squad, we had to restart the same mission around seven times because monsters would endlessly spawn from the smallest mistakes. You could be carefully carrying an item only for another player to accidentally bump into you, causing damage, loud crashing noises, and complete chaos.

What made it even more frustrating was how buggy some of the physics felt. Large objects like sofas would sometimes glitch out inside the van and continuously make noise for no reason. Chairs and smaller objects would randomly launch themselves across rooms after being touched, creating even more noise disruption. The game almost felt too sensitive at times, to the point where the chaos became more annoying than funny.

After running into all those issues during our first session, we decided to revisit the game after a patch update with only three players instead. Thankfully, the experience felt noticeably smoother. The game still has problems that need fixing, but with fewer players things became far more manageable and enjoyable overall. Underneath all the chaos, there actually is a fun progression system here. Completing missions earns XP, which allows you to unlock cosmetics, items, higher ranks, and access to more difficult houses and areas to burgle.

One mechanic I genuinely enjoyed was the way you use both arms independently to carry and manoeuvre objects. You can stretch your arms outward to carefully move furniture through doorways, upstairs, or around tight corners. It creates some genuinely funny co-op moments where players have to work together to carry heavy objects like treadmills out of basements while trying not to smash everything around them. When the physics cooperate, these moments are honestly some of the most fun the game has to offer. The proximity voice chat also works surprisingly well, making communication with friends smooth and adding to the immersion of trying to coordinate a heist together.

I also liked the variety of monsters and modifiers that get thrown into missions to keep things interesting. The game constantly tries to keep players under pressure, and it definitely succeeds in making every run feel unpredictable. The overall concept is that literally everything in the environment feels dangerous,  even the furniture, and while some players may enjoy that level of chaos, I think the balance still needs some work. Right now, the game sometimes crosses the line where the chaos stops being fun and starts becoming frustrating instead.

We are very thankful to have received several codes to play with a full squad, who had the following to say about Burgle Supply Company. First, Vroggo said the following, “For the price-point of the game, it’s pretty decent. It’s definitely more fun to play the way the game is intended to be played, which is co-op. The gameplay is very straightforward. Players essentially set out to loot a map and complete objectives WITHOUT being loud enough to meet the monster-spawning threshold.

Even if you are playing solo, there is a solo-assist option in the settings to help solo players lift items more easily, which is nice.

The main thing I liked about the game is the mask mechanics. The game offers you different masks with abilities to choose from, and some come with multipliers for different item types, which incentivises the player to actually loot a variety of items instead of looting high-yield or mission-specific items.

There are also a decent amount of maps to play on as well, and they spawn different monsters. They’re scary but in a disturbing and comical type of way.

My only real issue with the game was that I was moderately lagging while playing with a friend even though I turned the graphics way down low (the game itself ran fine while I was playing solo though).”

Burgle Supply Company still has a strong foundation. The core concept is genuinely entertaining, especially with friends, and there are moments where the game absolutely shines with hilarious co-op interactions and teamwork. It just needs more polishing, better physics stability, and some adjustments to the noise sensitivity to truly stand out on its own. I definitely see the potential here, and I’m interested to see how future updates improve the experience because there is a very fun game hiding.

Overall: 5/10
