We are well and truly getting into the festive spirit as a much anticipated Christmas season is just around the corner. After what has been a very much considered \u2018write off\u2019 of a year, I am getting into the holiday season this November and I already have the tree & decorations up this week. And what seems like an early Christmas present each month, my November SoKawaii box turned up just in time as I was finished decorating!<\/span><\/p>\n This months\u2019 theme is \u201cKira Kira Night\u201d, which roughly translates to Twinkle Twinkle Night. It has products from Pok\u00e9mon, Sanrio and Kirby. Which range from a plush to stationary, a gift set, a Re-ment figure and an on-the-go cup.<\/span><\/p>\n So let\u2019s get onto the important information shall we? SoKawaii is a company based in Japan, home of practically everything kawaii (the Japanese word for cute). They create monthly subscription boxes, jam packed with 100% licensed products from brands such as Hello Kitty, Pok\u00e9mon, Sanrio, Studio Ghibli and more. The items range from plushies to Gachapon, little figures, stationary, lifestyle, kitchenware and more. The staff at SoKawaii handpicks 6 to 8 cute & useful<\/span> items exclusive to Japan, pack them up in a very decorative box and send it straight to your doorstep. So make sure to have your opinions heard over on their social media posts.<\/span> https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sokawaii\/<\/a> And at the moment, they are amongst one of the only subscription boxes that are still able to reach your door no matter what country you are in! *cough cough I now have 9 months of Nihon Box crates stuck in Japan due to Japan Post still not shipping to Ireland*<\/span><\/p>\n Our first product and the largest, was a pastel rainbow coloured Sanrio plush. Of which I received the Hello Kitty version, but there was also a Pompompurin and Cinnamoroll up for grabs. All three appear as though they are snuggly knit into a pastel colored jumpsuit with hood. All of which remind me more of a pastel galaxy design instead of a rainbow inspired palette. They are well padded and stitched together, they come with a zip in the back like most of the plushies that seem to come in this box in the past. I honestly don\u2019t understand the design appeal of having a tiny pocket in the back of a plush, that can only fit like a few coins. It also comes with a keychain on the top of the plush, so you can attach it to your bag, a hook, your bedpost or even on your clothing like the incredibly fashionable people that frequent Takeshita Street and Harajuku.<\/span><\/p>\n Our second item is a Pok\u00e9mon Re-ment figure from the Starrium series. Just like the name suggests, this series focuses on stars which plays perfectly with this month's box theme. This Re-ment series has six designs to collect, which include Pikachu, Lapras, Jirachi, Gardevoir, Umbreon and Espeon. Unlucky for me I received the one design I least wanted, which was Pikachu. It\u2019s still adorable and well made, and only came in two pieces that had to be assembled. Which is very nice, as some Re-ment figures like the Rilakkuma terrarium we received a few months back included too many loose figures. This series is well worth checking out and if you did receive one in your box - you can complete your collection by heading over to TokyoToys which have the full collection up for grabs.<\/span> (<\/span>https:\/\/www.tokyotoys.com\/catalogsearch\/result\/?cat=379&q=Pokemon+Starrium<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n Our stationary item this box, comes from Kirby. As we get a notebook, which is available in two designs. This ruled and spiraled notebook, both feature Kirby on the forefront as well as an enclosed pocket design that is just filled with sparkling sequins to resemble a starry night sky. Each of the 70 pages inside are designed with Kirby featured along the bottom of each page. This is a high quality gift and one that I am more than pleased to add to my collection. What I will be using this notebook for in the future, I don\u2019t quite know yet. With the design, it might just be ideal as a jotter to write down the crazy dreams I have after a night full of eating nothing but sweets!<\/span><\/p>\n Our fourth item this month is an unusual one, as we receive a pack of My Melody laundry pegs. Although super cute and certainly practical. I have yet to test them out to see how strong they really are. You could also use them as a stationary item, if you wish to peg up some photos, drawings or notes on a string around your room. I have seen this done many times on Pinterest and maybe worth trying out, if you prefer having them more as decoration instead of having them exposed to the elements outside. They could also work as a bag clip, as suggested on the packaging. How useful they will be, will all depend on their grip.<\/span><\/p>\n Next up, we have quite an interesting product. So from first glance, it appears to be a very small cup. Once you turn it over and look inside, you will see a raised design in the middle with ridges. This cup fits on top of any drink bottle you buy. So say I bought a 500ml bottle of Pepsi, I can attach my cup to the top of the bottle by firmly pushing it down. Then I can unscrew the cap, with the cup still on. That is what the ridges are for, to grip the screw top cap on the plastic drink bottle. Now the cup is incredibly tiny and I don\u2019t see much use for it, except for little kids. So say you are going on a picnic (certainly not in this weather anyway) and your child isn\u2019t skilled enough yet to hold a heavy drink bottle on their own. You can bring this cup for them and it should stay neatly on the bottle as you are travelling. This product is definitely intended for younger children and is much akin to what would be seen usually with a flask, when you are carrying copious amounts of tea or soup with you on the go. This Sanrio PET Bottle Cap Cup is available in two designs, featuring either Kuromi or Cinnamoroll - of which I got the lather. Although the Kuromi one is far better detailed compared to what I would describe as a rather plain Cinnamoroll version.<\/span><\/p>\n And last but not least, we have a Cosme Gift Set. This very well presented piece, encloses a decorative hand towel and a small bottle of hand cream. The packaging is eye catching and this alone would be perfect to either use yourself or put away for someone special. It would also be a shame to even wrap this as a present, as it is stunning enough even on its own. This item is available in two designs, as either Hello Kitty or My Melody. This large plush handbag is fairly practical as it has a decent size pocket inside which will be able to fit your phone and perhaps a few pens or a small wallet. It will be even more practical for students as a pillow they can get some sleep on whilst waiting around in college after a session the night before. This is sure to be a very sought after bag come RAG or Freshers week. The only downside is that its\u2019 white, which will make it almost impossible to keep clean whilst travelling.<\/span><\/p>\r\n Our next two items are also from Sanrio, so let\u2019s begin with our guaranteed Kuromi pouch. This is actually the first Kuromi item I have been lucky enough to receive ever since I started my subscription in April 2019. With this pouch you could use it for a number of things, from carrying make-up to toiletries, stationary or even some coins. It\u2019ll no doubt serve some purpose.<\/span><\/p>\r\n Our third item features My Melody, who is Kuromi\u2019s rival within Sanrio. We get a pair of Magnet clips in the shape of My Melody's head which are ideal to use both on the fridge or on a magnet memo board. The other suggestions given on the packaging include using it as a money clip or as a bookmark. They are useful for holding notes on the fridge, especially those that include those all important exam dates and holidays!<\/span><\/p>\r\n Moving on, we now have our Pok\u00e9mon item. Which was the already announced Pikachu mug from the Pok\u00e9mon Girly Collection. This white ceramic mug thankfully arrived in one piece, although short in stature it will still be more than capable of getting that much needed coffee into you each morning. As well as those well deserved hot chocolates as we get closer and closer to the Christmas season. Best to wash this by hand though, as it may be difficult to locate a similar one if it ends up broken.<\/span><\/p>\r\n We are now onto our final two items, both of which belong in the stationary section. First up we have a Sailor Moon Crystal pen from Dr. Grip. This 0.5mm mechanical pencil is stunning, with two shades of pink on the outside, the inner design showcases both Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon together. Seeing as it\u2019s a mechanical pencil, it should be possible to find refills fairly easily so you can keep using this pen for years to come! It is definitely a must have item for your studies this year!<\/span><\/p>\r\n Following that we have a clear file from Sumikko Gurashi. This item was available in six designs, compared to the other items in this box are all guaranteed in every crate! Now I\u2019m not a massive fan of clear files, but I can see their uses. The design really comes to life as soon as you put a sheet of paper in there. Perfect if you end up getting handouts during class and don't want to have them get all mixed up in your bag. Although a normal poly pocket would do the same job, it certainly wouldn't be as cute as this clear file!<\/span><\/p>\r\n And there we have it folks, that is the end of the September SoKawaii box review. \r\n\r\nFirst off we have a product from the ever popular ReMent franchise, this time from the latest Pok\u00e9mon release: Utatane Basket. With six very sleepy Pok\u00e9mon character figures to collect, you are guaranteed one mystery box in this very box. I got the Alolan Vulpix, which comes very well detailed & made - and now sits on my bookshelf with the rest of my ReMent figures.<\/span>\r\n\r\n![\"sokawaiiaugust_2\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/sokawaiiaugust_2.jpeg\")
\r\n\r\nNext up we have two items which go hand in hand with this month\u2019s theme of camping. First up we have the un-announced mystery Sumikko Gurashi item, which is a stainless mug. This interesting looking item looks very ideal to take with you on camping holidays, as it seems as though it can be used directly on a fire to boil water in. As to if the printed on designs will burn off - well I wouldn\u2019t like to be the one that has to test out that theory. This travel mug was available in two similar designs and features what looks to be a pram\/bag clip as a handle - which is ideal to attach onto the outside of your rucksack. This item is aimed directly at those adventuring types of people, as I doubt it would be used much whilst sitting in the cupboard at home.<\/span>\r\n\r\n![\"sokawaiiaugust2020_3\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/sokawaiiaugust2020_3.jpg\")
\r\n\r\nOur second food related item is this official Studio Ghibli \u2018My Neighbour Totoro\u2019 bento box. This two tiered lunch container, also includes a divider between the layers and a fork. With the very recognisable grey coloring and iconic Totoro shaped design on the top, this is a must have item for any household that enjoys making homemade lunches. Although slightly smaller in size than what I was expecting, it is BPA free and for the most part - is Microwave safe! Just remember to remove the lids and fork before nuking that lunch! The only thing about it, is that you can\u2019t simply throw it in the dishwasher. This is a hand wash only container, so make sure to look out for that. \r\n\r\nNow this incredibly gorgeous Sanrio bag was a complete surprise when I got my box, as it was never even hinted at last month! As you can see it is a fairly large tote bag and was also the first item that greeted me when I opened the box. Now the one I received was a Hello Kitty design, which was a collaboration with graphic artist and fashion designer - Jun'ichi Nakahara. He is known as the man who greatly developed the idea of giant anime eyes for shojo manga characters. I highly advise googling his name and looking up his art work in google images, as it is very classic looking, with almost porcelaine qualities to the character designs. It adds a touch of class to what would have been a very plain looking Hello Kitty bag, the best qualities though are the fully zipped openings and the detail inside the bag and separate compartments. Not sure how I will be using this bag yet, as it seems almost too good to use for a quick trip to the shops.<\/span>\r\n\r\n![\"sokawaiiaugust2020_5\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/sokawaiiaugust2020_5.jpeg\")
\r\n\r\nWe are now onto our final two items, starting with this almost familiar looking plushie in the top left hand corner. This furry creature is from the Tanuki & Kitsune plush range, of which I got the Kitsune. Which is the Japanese word for fox, who are often looked upon in religious terms as messengers from God or in Japanese folklore as being tricksters and shapeshifters. My little fox<\/span> cub looks awfully similar to a Pikachu in their coloring, but is very soft and well stuffed - which makes it a cute companion to have sitting on your shoulder as you're typing away. And last but not least, we have a puffy sticker pack from this years\u2019 best selling game - Animal Crossing. Made of super soft material and appears well stuffed, it features a pair of rosey cheeks that seem to give the impression that this character has been spending some time out in the Summer Sun. Topped with his iconic brown beret, he also sports a pair of red heart-shaped sunglasses and a tropical flower garland, known as a lei - that is often given to travelers that visit certain Hawaiian resorts. This Golden Retriever mascot from Sanrio certainly looks the part of a well rested, happy traveller! \r\n\r\nNext up we have a My Melody reusable spiral straw from Sanrio. This item is available in just one design, and is once again guaranteed in every July box. Perfect to have in your drinks at any time of day, to add that extra bit of fun to whatever you may be consuming. It\u2019s design however isn\u2019t very practical when it comes to cleaning it, as I don\u2019t see how a straw cleaner will be long enough to reach all the curves and dips in this design. Perhaps if it included a specific straw cleaner for this item, I would be better impressed. \r\n\r\nOur third item is this adorable Solar Powered Kirby Figurine, from the Swing Solar Collection. This item was available in two designs, both of which you can see in the picture above. The one I received is the \u2018Warpstar Kirby\u2019, which I was the most excited for given how my partner reacted to it. (He\u2019s a massive Kirby fan!) Place this figure in direct sunlight and watch Kirby swing back-and-forth until sundown! An adorable item to have and with just a bit of double sided tape, can sit on your dashboard as you drive. \r\n\r\nOur fourth item is a handy kitchen accessory, in the form of this pair of Gudetama bag clips. Although a similar product to the ones we received last September, this new design is more elaborate than the last. Upon using it, it will ultimately look like you clipped a fried egg onto a bag of pasta for example. With a larger design and fairly strong clip, it is also simpler to open than the one supplied last year. I still use my original bag clips from last year, but will be adding these new ones into rotation shortly for my larger packaged items. It\u2019s an item I never knew I needed until I got it. Now for me, I have no use for these cups and frankly I have gotten quite a collection of them since I started this subscription. Personally I prefer pint sized glasses, they hold more liquid and they reduce the amount of times I have to get up for another drink. \r\n\r\nOur first item is this fairly large MochiMochi Kirby plush. In order to get this ball of pink fluff in the box, it came shrink wrapped in a vacuum storage bag. Which will also come in handy for my future travels, when it becomes safe to fly again. Once out of the bag and tossed about a bit to get some air back in it, it soon doubled in size and became a plump new cushion for the couch! Although the colors are a bit darker than what I imagined, it isn\u2019t over stuffed either and thus has a more \u2018squishy\u2019 feel to it.<\/span>\r\n\r\n![\"sokawaiijune2020_2\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/sokawaiijune2020_2.jpg\")
\r\n\r\nNext up we have our Pokemon item, in the form of these cute Japanese socks. Now these socks are particularly unique to Japan, as if you can see above they are stitched in a way to separate the big toe from the rest of the little piggies. These are what is known as \u2018Tabi\u2019 socks, which are mostly worn when wearing a Kimono and the elevated wooden sandals known as Geta that come with such a traditional outfit. Of course, you can also just wear them about the house if you wish. They come in two designs, which both feature Pikachu and a cherry blossom (sakura) design. Now in regards to the size of the socks, they are a bit on the same size. As from what I received they would fit upto a size four in the UK. It\u2019s unclear if there was a range of sizes available, so you may be lucky when you get your box and they fit you. \r\n\r\nNext up we have another Kirby item, with a retractable keychain. A useful item to have on hand, as not only can you just attach your keys to it but also would be very useful to keep your transport pass on. Such as your Leap card for those of us in Ireland, or the Oyster card for the UK and your Suica or Pasmo for those of you traveling Japan. \r\n\r\nWe now have the first of our two Sanrio items, with this Marumofubiyori cup. One of the newest characters to have been created by Sanrio, having made its debut back in 2017. The name Marumofubiyori actually covers the three characters that you see on the cup. The main character being the white bear cub known as Moppu, a name given to him as he is always dragging his blanket along the floor like a mop. Moppu has two plush toys to keep him company, who are also his best friends. Kanikama is the toy crab and Gyoniku is a toy fish. This small plastic cup isn\u2019t very useful if you plan on quenching any kind of thirst, but would be best suited for the bathroom when brushing your teeth. \r\n\r\nWe now have our second Sanrio item for this month's box, with this rather cute pouch. This was available in nine character designs, including Gudetama, Tuxedo Sam, Pocchaco, Keroppi and Little Twin Stars. The one I got was Kiki from Little Twin Stars. The second image I have above is of the pouch turned inside out, so you can see the design that would be on the inside of the case. With this gorgeous detail and an inside pocket, this pouch would be perfect for travelling. Weather you\u2019d be using it for makeup, toiletries, stationary or just to keep your passport & tickets all together. It\u2019s certainly one of the most useful and versatile products to have arrived in this months\u2019 box. Made from bamboo and branded as eco friendly, the packaging still includes some plastic in order to ensure the toothbrush is kept from damage and almost sterilized. Now this item may set off alarm bells for some readers who are entirely against the idea of putting wooden products such as ice pop sticks and wooden spoons in their mouths. A few people come to mind when I write this, so I know it is a genuine problem for some. All the same, it is a useful item if the wooden texture doesn\u2019t bother you. \r\n\r\nOur first product, and definitely was the one that caught my eye when I opened it, is the adorable Rilakkuma plush. It\u2019s super soft, well made and is a perfect gift to receive on Valentine\u2019s Day (or White Day next month for you ladies over in Japan). Now the heart that Rilakkuma is holding, is actually hollow inside, so you could get creative and put an extra gift in there for your loved one, if you do plan on giving it away. There is also an interesting design on the back of Rilakkuma, with a sewn on zipper. It seems to follow the same design that they used for the character in the Netflix series.<\/span>\r\n\r\n![\"sokawaiifebruary2020_2\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/sokawaiifebruary2020_2.jpg\")
\r\n\r\nMoving on, I got three Pok\u00e9mon products in this box. First off is the sheet of Eevee stickers, which also includes some images of Pok\u00e9balls & evolution stones. As well as the adorable Pok\u00e9mon Eevee jumping about and playing. Carrying on with the Pok\u00e9mon stationary theme, we also received an Eevee pen! I mean I have been loving these pens that they include in the box every few months, as I am still using my pink Kirby pen now. Now leaving the stationary theme behind, we move onto baking with a two pack of cake moulds. Now I received the Pikachu version, but you could have also gotten Pompompurin. I haven\u2019t a clue how to read the writing on the back of the packaging, but going by the leaflet inside, the mould is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe! \r\n\r\nNext up is another kitchen item, with this cute and very useful Hello Kitty spatula. It seems pretty sturdy, but I am not sure how heat resistant its\u2019 going to be so just be careful when using it. For all of you that love your coffee on the go, SoKawaii also included a Sumikko Gurashi cup sleeve. If you have ever bought a hot drink to go over the years, you know how fast those disposable cups heat up! The cup sleeve is designed to save you from burning the finger prints off of your digits. The packaging is actually really cute, as it comes on a disposable cup just to show off what the sleeve is actually for. Now do be aware that the cup isn\u2019t made to actually put drinks in! Its\u2019 only used as packaging, so I wouldn\u2019t trust even pouring some water in the cup as it would probably seap right through the bottom.<\/span>\r\n\r\n![\"sokawaiifebruary2020_4\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/sokawaiifebruary2020_4.jpg\")
\r\n\r\nNow onto the final item of the box and I have a few issues with this one. All boxes received the Kirby\u2019s Dream Land Terrarium, but I wonder how many had the same experience as me. So there were six designs available and it was a mystery which one you would get. Now mine for some reason came with two sets of mini figures, which meant I didn\u2019t get the rest of the crystal decorations which were supposed to be going around the side of the figures. So mine looks only half finished and is kind of disappointing to look at. Also only Chilly was the only character with a hole in his bum so you could actually fix him down to the base. Kirby and the tiny snowman keep falling over as they have nothing to fix them too. Half tempted to just glue them down. Now these issues have nothing to do with SoKawaii, but with ReMent instead, who are the manufacturers of this bind box series. It is just disappointing to receive a figure that you could not complete. This months\u2019 is of course centred around the holidays, and is so jammed packed with goodies that they actually had to make a bigger box just to hold them all! \r\n\r\nFor those of you that are just jumping into this article, this is now my 8th consecutive month that I have gotten this box. SoKawaii is a company based in Japan, home of practically everything kawaii (Japanese for cute). They create monthly boxes, jam packed with 100% licensed products from Hello Kitty, Pok\u00e9mon, Sanrio and more. The items range from plushies to Gachapon, little figures, stationary, lifestyle, kitchenware and more. \r\n\r\nFirst off we have the Cardcaptor Sakura item, which is a nicely detailed official figure! Because of the size of this box, SoKawaii had to just make their packaging bigger. This figure is guaranteed in every December box and features the main character Sakura in her Tomoeda School Uniform. It\u2019s a pretty sturdy figure, and only takes two seconds to assemble. It also comes with a small Kero-chan to hang from her arms. Now there are two issues I have with this figure, for one her complexion is a bit on the extra pale side. Also the packaging is excessive, as the figure only takes up perhaps a fifth of the box. If you are after getting this month\u2019s box then you will know exactly what I mean. The only conclusion I could come to was that this figure was a claw machine prize at some point. Hence the uneven distribution of weight to make it more difficult to win. Now this has nothing to do with SoKawaii or the crate, but more to do with the manufacturer of the figure. Here\u2019s hoping though that SoKawaii will include more figures of this scale in their boxes in the future, or perhaps even as an annual addition to their Christmas boxes.<\/span>\r\n\r\n![\"sokawaiidec4\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/sokawaiidec4.jpg\")
\r\n\r\nNext up we have our Sanrio gifts, starting with an eco tote bag. There were three designs available and I got the Cinnamoroll one. A well stitched and sturdy cloth bag, which can be folded up and attached to your handbag by a clip. This is very useful for the season that\u2019s in it, as there will always be something you\u2019ll have to pick up on the way home, for example my almost daily weekday visits to the post office for the past three weeks. This tote will be staying in my bag everyday from here on out.<\/span>\r\n\r\n![\"sokawaiidec5\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/sokawaiidec5.jpg\")
\r\n\r\nOur third item is a beauty product from Sanrio. A kawaii looking hairbrush that is both practical and super girly. This thick-handled brush, encases a vast amount of sparkles to give off that extra bit of magic as you start your mornings. This item was available in two designs, which I received the Kuromi version of. I think the second option may have been My Melody. I\u2019m not entirely sure if I will be using it, as I feel it would be best suited to a younger girl.<\/span>\r\n\r\nItem four is our exclusive Pok\u00e9mon item, which is known as a Furoshiki. Now on first look it does remind me of a bandana that I may have been rocking back in the 90s\u2019. It is a strong made cloth that features seasonal Pikachu designs, with four available to cover each season. Japan is really big on gift giving and wrapping presents, it\u2019s a big part of their culture over there. It goes so far that if someone at work goes away on holiday, it is expected that they bring back presents for their colleagues. So in the spirit of gift giving, the staff at So Kawaii have picked out these adorable Pikachu cloth wraps. I received Springs design, which features Pikachu and so many cherry blossom prints. This item is also Made entirely in Japan! \r\n\r\nOur fifth item is one for the kitchen, as we get a box of 6 Sanrio themed resealable food bags. Yup you read that right! Food bags or sandwich bags, whichever you wish to call them. A cute way to pack your lunch each day, or if you are planning a trip away, they are great for separating your toiletries. I honestly don\u2019t know when I will be using these, I am half tempted to put them aside for our Japan trip next year. These very useful to have lying around and they come in two different designs - My Melody and My Little Twin Stars Lala and Kiki.<\/span>\r\n\r\nAnd lastly we have our Sanrio Christmas Edition plushie. To top off this holiday box, So Kawaii have included a Sanrio mascot decked out as Santa in every box. \r\n\r\nSo November is centered around \u201cChildhood Memories\u201d and for me Pok\u00e9mon was a huge part of mine. Even today I tend to keep up to date on the latest Pok\u00e9mon news, although I have fallen far behind on playing the games. Whereas Hamtaro I only knew from reading girls magazines growing up and seeing it plastered on tote bags and notebooks. I didn\u2019t even know it was a Japanese character. In this box, we also have products from Rilakkuma, Sanrio and Sumikko Gurashi, that we get in the form of plushies, stationary and a cute key lock.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe largest item we receive this month is a macaron shaped plush pillow from Sumikko Gurashi, that you could get in 3 different designs. Sumikko Gurashi is a set of characters created by San - X, the same company behind Rillakkuma. The characters involved in Sumikko Gurashi are an interesting bunch, that include an anxious cat, a polar bear that dislikes the cold, a penguin that has an identity crisis, a leftover pork fillet (Tonkatsu) that has its own consciousness and a dinosaur that pretends to be a lizard. As to what the other two pillow designs were, I\u2019m not sure but it looks like I got Neko the anxious cat. It\u2019s super soft but not all that well padded, great for throwing around for decor but perhaps not the best in terms of comfort.<\/span>\r\n\r\nFrom the same San - X company, we actually get quite a useful Rilakkuma key lock. Perfect for those of you that are still in school and have lockers, it can also be used to lock those diaries you which to keep quiet about and maybe even your gym locker. It\u2019s certainly very cute, but I\u2019m unsure how sturdy a lock like this could be. Either way, it still makes for a very eye catching keychain.<\/span>\r\n\r\n![\"sokawaiinov2\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/sokawaiinov2.jpg\")
\r\n\r\nSanrio are back again this month, but this time in the form of some stationary. This time we get an eraser in the shape of a lipstick - yes I had to double check that once I got it as I was fully convinced it may have been lip gloss before opening it. This lipstick shaped eraser comes in a few designs that feature some of Sanrios\u2019 famous characters - I for one was very happy to receive Pompompurin. As well as this very useful item to add to my stationery collection, it also comes with it\u2019s own special scent. Mine reminds me of custard or even flan.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThen we have a mascot plush of Hamtaro! The little hamster TV series that was popular back in the early noughties, that followed an adventurous young hamster named Hartaro and his fellow hamster friends the Ham-Hams. This plush is just perfection! The perfect size for a character such as Hamtaro, very well made and is perhaps the first bit of merch I have seen from Hamtaro this side of the World in about 15 years. It\u2019s clear to see that this character is still going strong back in Japan if this new plush is being released. There are also 8 character designs available, so which one will you get in your box? \r\n\r\nYou can never go wrong with including either Kirby or Pok\u00e9mon in your boxes each month. This time we got this adorable and really good quality coin purse with a cute Pikachu on the front. Aimed more at women who have known up with Pok\u00e9mon and are still in love with the franchise. The perfect size to keep in your handbag and even comes with an attached clip so you can clip it on to something in your handbag so you know where it is at all times. I will definitely be using this when I go over to Japan and play in the arcades.<\/span>\r\n\r\nOur last two items are Kirby related, with yet another piece of stationary included in this box with a small notepad. It fits in the palm of your hand and looks incredibly cute when you pair it with last months\u2019 Kirby themed pen. The notepad has colored pages with two different Kirby designs used throughout. It will certainly make note taking even more enjoyable on a daily basis, and is available in two designs.<\/span>\r\n\r\nAnd lastly we have this charming Kirby themed dessert spoon, which is only available exclusively in Japan and now my cutlery drawer! It also seems wrong to use it, for one - it is quite a big spoon! Perfect if you plan on eating a tub of ice cream in just a matter of a few spoonfuls, but it also looks like a piece of art that should only be admired and not touched. I\u2019m torn as to either figure out how to display it or simply give in and go grab a tub of mint choc-chip out of the freezer. It makes me wonder what the general age bracket is of the customers that buy the SoKawaii boxes? I myself am 28 and I would think that this was more aimed at women in their early to mid twenties. \r\n\r\nSo I picked the May crate, with the theme Spring Fantasy!<\/em> For the sole reason that I adore Cardcaptor Sakura<\/em> and jumped for my bank card straight away when I heard they had a CCS Tea Cup guaranteed in every box. Now when I think of Japan and Springtime, Cherry Blossoms do \u2018spring\u2019 to mind. Now that theme carries on with the <\/span>tea cup and Hello Kitty<\/em> zipper bags, an unusual item to see included in the box, but is quite useful.<\/span>\r\n\r\nPok\u00e9mon<\/em> has been mainstream once again since the release of Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em>, to the recent release of the live action video game adaption of Detective Pikachu<\/em>. So a Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> Gachapon was a welcome inclusion in this box. I was lucky enough to get an Eevee, which when you open up your box it looks just like a head with no ears, as the rest of the body parts are hid inside. The overall figure is beyond adorable. Now the next item is a Silicone Cup Cover, which looks like it was bought from Daiso<\/em>. Japan\u2019s version of Dealz<\/em> and Poundland<\/em>, but with more character goods. Now tea is a big thing in Asia, just like in Ireland, so although it is slightly unusual to see this item in the box, it is quite practical.<\/span>\r\n\r\nI don\u2019t know if it\u2019s unusual or not, but we got two Sanrio<\/em> character goods in this months box. Following the Hello Kitty<\/em> ziplock bags, I also got a Cinnamoroll<\/em> mechanical pencil. An adorable piece of stationary that I look forward to using. And lastly we have the very plush Luminary Tears Unil Pochette Bag. It is incredibly soft & eye catching, and you can carry it around on a detachable gold chain. Now although it is a visual dream, you can\u2019t really fit anything in it.
