The State Troopers of Vermont pull over a bus being driven very erratically, only to find their favourite band, Cracklin’ Bacon, on board and having a session. Things soon turn ugly though and a fight breaks out… Much has happened since the Troopers all lost their jobs and the majority of them are now working in construction to make ends meet. They all decide to go on a fishing trip to Canada, only to find that a small section of the border between the States and Canada has somehow been moved. The Governor arrives and tells the Troopers that they are to be re-instated to police the border and make sure that the transition from Canadian to American goes smoothly. Unfortunately for the Troopers, things go extremely un-smoothly and they soon have a fierce battle on their hands…
This is the sequel to the first Super Troopers movie by the Broken Lizard group, originally released an incredible 17 years ago. The first movie told the story of the group of 5 Vermont State Troopers, trying to solve a crime whilst trying to outwit the local police department. Their jobs are also on the line and that doesn’t help matters.
If I’m honest, I don’t really remember much about the first movie but I know I definitely saw it. I think this movie will appeal to quite a large demographic and people who love a bit of ‘toilet humour’. There is *a lot* of nudity and some of it is pretty graphic, especially the scene in the brothel where Rob Lowe’s character is meeting the Troopers for the first time. I won’t even begin to try and describe it; you’ll just have to see it for yourself. I was actually quite shocked by it but not really in a horrified kind of way.
Quite a lot of toilet humour and dick jokes makes this one to go out and see with your buddies and probably not with your significant other. If you like seeing guys kicked in the balls or a fair bit of nudity then go see ‘Super Troopers 2’.
