Summary:
We pick up where we last left off, from the first issue. For this issue, the story switches from many venues; reporters Cameron and Lisa are caught interviewing another Boxer, named Adrian Moreau, while a few trainers visit Ramon in Miami. The first part of this issue focuses on Adrian Moreau’s background as he was formally trained in the arts; specifically ballet; then became a boxer as he was an easy target for bullying in his youth.

This issue focuses on a match between Ramon, a Puerto Rican boxer, versus Terrance, as Terrance is a sturdy powerhouse of a boxer. The two go toe to toe, delivering quick and fast punches. Then, Ramon gets the upper hand as he’s able to land one punch that turns into a flurry of punches. Blood is exchanged on mouthguards as the punches land hard.

I do appreciate the hard-hitting punches, quips and fast-moving action that I have seen since the first issue, as this is a story about the art of boxing. This series will be more of a treat to fans of the sport, as I recognized a few name calls, such as Ali and Pacquiao. I am curious to see what the story will do with Adrian’s character, as his backstory was explored this issue, but not much else. I think the pacing is slower than I would prefer, but I believe that readers will be in for a treat if they continue to read this series, as we still have a few more issues to go.
Overall: 8/10
