BAPBAP: The Viral Roguelike Party Game Launches on Steam March 12th
March 10th, 2025 – In a world oversaturated with “hero shooters” and “the next big esports,” one game dares to ask: What if you could play as a giant muscular duck, stack 500% knockback, and send your friends into the shadow realm?
Enter BAPBAP, the TikTok-viral, indie roguelike party game, is finally entering Steam Early Access on March 12th.
WHAT IS BAPBAP?
BAPBAP is a roguelike party game where you craft giga-unfair builds to make your friends hate you.
You and up to 7 friends hop into different urban battlegrounds where ridiculous characters, game-breaking augments, and chaotic sandbox stupidity collide. Featuring over 1 trillion combinations, each round you’ll be given a choice between three unfair, cheat-like upgrades for you to build up to your godhood status. Everyone else also gets their own choices so you’ll need to out-pick and out-play them.
Some call it League of Legends: roguelike party edition, others call it Hades against friends, we call it entirely a mistake.

Game-Breaking Augments – Pick from random augments each round that can turn you into an immovable kaiju duck, a sniper rifle with a machine gun’s fire rate, or a walking nuclear disaster.
Custom Rules & Chaos Mode – Set up custom lobbies, tweak game settings, and force your friends to suffer through guns-only 1-shot-KO or half cooldown, double speed mode.
Tight, Skill-Based Combat – Everything is dodgeable. If you get clapped, that’s on you.
A Sandbox of Stupidity – Drop a crane payload to block escape routes, throw a turret on a jump pad to yeet it at enemies, or homerun bat someone into a teleporter alongside a nuclear bomb (legit saw this happen

The humans behind BAPBAP:
We’re a small, indie dev team that’s started by three devs with shared passion who met on Reddit. Entirely self funded and with very little industry knowledge, we set out to make our dream game (with a lot of mistakes along the way). What we lack in tradition, we try to make up for with out of the box thinking and designs. This resonated with our playerbase and we somehow blew up multiple times on Tiktok and grew a pretty dedicated community.
For roughly 5 years, we were making BAPBAP as a MOBA-style battle royale, but we learned the hard way that it’s really hard to satisfy an active matchmaking playerbase for a battle royale mode on an indie marketing budget.
Thus, we decided to spend the last three months or so changing BAPBAP into this current version that much more resembles a party game that you play with friends. To our surprise, a huge majority of our playerbase LOVE the new mode and consider it vastly superior to the royale mode. This gave us the confidence to finally launch the game as it is.
