In the not-so-terribly distant future, the world has devolved into a patriarchy that rules over women and ravages the planet’s resources.
Three women, Baby, Babette, and Belladonna, travel across a barren desert wasteland, away from the Capitol, where men are in charge. Low on water, cigarettes, and patience, they happen across a truck full of men and resources that has stopped for a bathroom break.

The women sneak up on a man taking a bathroom break named Phelony. They intend to use Phelony as leverage to take the truck and supplies, but one of the men accidentally shoots him while aiming for the girls.
Baby and Babette had no problem killing the remaining two men. They discover a fourth man that claims to have knowledge about a dangerous artifact, so they tie him up and take him along.
As Baby, Babette, and Belladonna, along with their hostage, are on their way, Phelony wakes up, apparently not dead from the gunshot wound. He goes back to Master Quest, the patriarch in charge. Master Quest says he’s going to build an army to go after these three women.

Who will get to the artifact first – three badass women with a pitiful hostage that knows something, or the Patriarch in charge with his army from the Capitol?
Darrow displays an excellent sense of depth and composition in her work, and the character designs are delightfully funny. The limited color palette accentuates the lively pacing while allowing the eyes to linger on bold lines, and the lettering flows nicely with the comic. No joke was left untold in this issue. I look forward to reading more.
Overall: 10/10
