Tom the Postgirl is a game that can best be described as a series of quirky, obscure and downright bizarre interactions that you just can’t help but enjoy.

You play as Tom, a postgirl who has just started as a trainee. Your job is to deliver packages around a rather peculiar village. However, besides simply delivering packages, you soon come across an interesting little object that tells you how many things you can peek at in each area. And trust me, there is plenty to discover! From windows and holes in walls to random objects and even the ground, there is always something waiting to be found if you take the time to look around.

Now, the art style of the game is minimalistic but filled with so much life. The black-and-white colour scheme, with just hints of red, works incredibly well. Every aspect of the visuals goes hand in hand with the interactions you come across while peeking into different places. For instance, you might stumble upon someone having a picnic date with a chicken or a bee smelling pollen before suddenly fainting. And those aren’t even the weirdest or most entertaining interactions I came across throughout the game!

The game’s creepy-cute aesthetic is definitely nailed, and the soundtrack does it justice too. You really get immersed in the visuals, but more importantly, they encourage you to hunt down every single peeking spot in an area. Honestly, that’s where the real beauty of the game lies. There is always something new to notice, and I found myself wanting to check every little corner just to see what the residents were getting up to. Plus, the narrative it follows is somewhat confusing, but in an intriguing way that keeps you wondering what is actually going on in this village.

One thing I particularly enjoyed was being able to peek into places even after delivering the packages. You get to see what has changed and what the people inside are up to afterwards, which makes revisiting those spots all the more entertaining. Each area also has its own little quest or side objective to complete, and honestly, they are quite fun to work through. You can take your time with the game and simply observe how each area unfolds, rather than feeling rushed to move on to the next one.

The game is also very rewarding, especially if you’re someone who enjoys achievement hunting. You can easily replay sections or even go through the entire game again to discover things you might have missed. The achievements are very achievable, and with multiple endings and unlockable profiles to discover, there are plenty of reasons to revisit the village. I also like how the game encourages you to experiment with your mischievous side, whether that’s simply doing your job or causing a little chaos along the way.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game from start to finish. I mean, the visuals are stunning, the animations are spot on, and I absolutely love the mix of strange occurrences with such a charming yet subtly creepy aesthetic. It’s one of those games where you never quite know what you’re going to stumble across next, and that makes exploring so much more enjoyable.

My only real complaint is that I wish the game was a little longer. I appreciate that there is replayability, and I certainly won’t complain too much because I enjoyed every bit of it without anything really bothering me. It was an absolute joy to play, and I would definitely recommend giving it a go if you enjoy quirky, creepy-cute games that reward you for being curious. If you’re someone who loves exploring every little detail, hunting down achievements and discovering the strange secrets of a village, then Tom the Postgirl is definitely worth checking out!

Overall: 8/10
