After 6 Years of Poorly Supervised Development, ‘The Wilds of Dacrima’ Launches May 12th

LONDON, UK – April 27, 2026 – Independent developer Antler Studios announced today that their highly anticipated, physics-based puzzle adventure, The Wilds of Dacrima: Field Notes from a Poorly Supervised Alchemist and His Unruly Clockwork Companion, will officially launch via STEAM and the Epic Games Store on May 12, 2026.

To celebrate crossing the 10,000 Wishlist milestone, the studio has released a brand-new launch trailer showcasing the game’s emergent alchemy mechanics, vertical exploration, and distinctly British sense of humor.

The Wilds of Dacrima invites players into a whimsical, Victorian-inspired world where safety is entirely optional. Players take on the role of Edric Tayte, a somewhat incompetent Alchemist tasked with charting a beautiful, untamed wilderness as they try to uncover the roots of a deadly rot. Armed with a bubbling field kit, players must brew volatile potions to manipulate gravity, create makeshift bridges, and solve ancient mechanical puzzles.

You are not alone on this expedition. Players are joined by L-PIN (Unit 734), a Clockwork Companion programmed to assist, critique, and occasionally cause absolute chaos

“We’ve spent six years building a world where the physics engine is your best friend and your worst enemy,” says Em Bailey, Designer at Antler Studios. “We wanted to create a puzzle game that didn’t just ask you to push on a button, but asks you to forage, brew a potion, throw it at a wall, and see what happens. Sometimes it’s a solution. Sometimes it’s a spectacular explosion. We consider both to be a success.”
