Bird Island is a happy place. Red (Jason Sudeikis) is a hero and the whole island feels safe. Meanwhile, over on Pig Island, a huge ball of ice has fallen from the sky and the pigs panic, not knowing what it is or where it has come from. They are worried enough about it to decide that they need to call a truce with the birds. The birds are all extremely sceptical and think that the pigs have an ulterior motive. The pigs leader, Leonard (Bill Hader) decides that he must visit bird island in person to talk to them and so he goes to visit Red. Leonard tells them his suspicions regarding the new threat, and they make a plan….

It’s been three years since the first Angry Birds Movie introduced Red, Chuck and Bomb to the world and prior to that, was the game itself, which had its first incarnation back in 2009 on iOS. Over the years since, the game has grown and grown, and by 2015 it had billions of downloads worldwide.

This second installment in the Angry Birds movie franchise is a lot of fun. What could be seen as a kids movie, actually has a lot more going from it than you might expect. That’s the beauty of Angry Birds.. it’s a universal game that can be played by anyone of any age; A battle of birds versus pigs who try and snatch their eggs.

Kids of all ages are going to love this movie and their parents will probably love it too. If you enjoyed the first one or even enjoy playing the game, give this a watch. It’s pretty much guaranteed you will want to play the game after watching this. I know I did…
