MONTREAL, JUNE 22, 2026 – Montreal studio Paper Cult is excited to announce that their hack-and-slash roguelike Tears of Metal will see the day on Steam and the Microsoft Store on JULY 22 in Early Access and price. The game is available as part of Xbox Game Pass for the Microsoft Store. The Xbox version of the game is slated to come out before the end of 2026.Â
Players will find plenty to sink their teeth into with this Early Access release including three Acts, each with unique enemies, Elites and Bosses, three playable Heroes, Village upgrades, Emblems, Equipment, Companions with more to come in the coming months! Tears of Metal has garnered over 400k wishlists on Steam since its reveal at Summer Game Fest in June 2024.
