This months\u2019 box also includes a number of items from a vast number of very well known anime franchises including Pok\u00e9mon, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Assassination Classroom and Chainsaw Man. So let\u2019s get this review started with a quick note on who Nihon Box is and how you can get your very own!<\/span><\/p>\n Nihon Box is a Japanese monthly subscription service that handpicks at least 6 items each month that are almost exclusive to Japan and ships them straight to your door. Featured in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump, the story involves an alternate world to ours based in 1997 where humans true fears can become personified into monsters known as devils. These monsters are hunted by people known as Devil Hunters, with this show following one person in particular - Denji. So if you are a fan of the manga series thus far, you are sure to be excited about this item, as Nihon Box has included the above house mat featuring the Chainsaw Man himself getting ready to cause some carnage! Hopefully this will not be the last time we see this series being featured in the box.<\/span><\/p>\n Our next item is for all you Jujutsu Kaisen fans out there, with this strong cotton tote bag. A fine size indeed and one that would have been ideal for all of you going out trick or treating this past Halloween night. This bag was available in four different designs, each featuring a different exorcist from the series, including Gojo Satoru, Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki and Megumi Fushiguro. With each image being taken from a scene from the hit anime series.<\/span><\/p>\n Our third item this month features the most dangerous but nuturing teacher in the entire anime world - Koro sensei from Assassination Classroom. I have never seen such a well depicted plush such as this before, it has Koro sensei perfectly designed right down to the very last tentacle. There is something about his goofy smile that just encourages you to just keep going - \u2018Ganbatte!\u2019. The Assassination Classroom manga and anime franchsie both finished up in 2016, so it is so nice to see the show still getting so much love even today that a plush such as this has been included in the box. Well done to the team that handpicked the products for the box, ye all did a great job!<\/span><\/p>\n Now let\u2019s continue as we get to the halfway point of this box. Next up is a Pok\u00e9mon clear file folder from the \u2018Sepia Graffiti\u2019 range. Now I have actually lost track as to how many times this particular Pok\u00e9mon range has been included in these subscription boxes, although it has become a tad repetitive it has also helped build up the collection if you have also been enjoying these particular designs. This particular clear file first went on sale back in 2018, so this design range is a bit old but mustn\u2019t have done very well in its sales for Nihon Box to be able to acquire its remaining stock for its boxes. In my opinion the range is just adorable, with its classic Pok\u00e9mon designs which reminds me of its early beginnings back in the 90s. A great piece of nostalgia for all us OG fans.<\/span><\/p>\n Next up is certainly a special sweet treat that I highly enjoyed consuming on Halloween. With this packet of Karint\u00f3 Kuroppi, a wheat flour \u2018biscuit\u2019 dipped in black sugar and sprinkled with chopped peanuts. Don\u2019t let the appearance fool you, (even though it does seem to resemble cat turds), it was oddly delicious and I certainly couldn't compare it to anything that we have over here in Ireland. It had a strong enough flavour and was more designed to just nibble on now and again. Unfortunately I managed to finish the entire packet whilst watching a few episodes of Gargoyles over on Disney+. The one good thing about this treat, is that seeing as it had zero chocolate involved there was no risk of anything melting during shipping.<\/span><\/p>\n So for the many of you that have already enjoyed Demon Slayer, you would remember that Tanjiro\u2019s mentor Urokodaki wore a red tengu mask. Well there is a small porcelain one included in this month's box, very similar to the one seen in the anime but instead it features a white mustache and eyebrows. This is our \u2018Made in Japan\u2019 exclusive piece of culture and is also known as an Omen Tengu.<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking of Demon Slayer, each October box also included a gachapon from the show. Inside is a single character from the show, out of a total of six to collect. These mini figures are known as cable huggers and can clip onto the end of your charging cable in order to protect it from bending. And who did I get in my box, none other than the cry baby himself - Zenitsu.<\/span><\/p>\n And last but now least, we have our final item in this 1000 Yen gift card from Yatta Japan, which can be used on their website. This very colorful figure has so much going on in its design, that celebrates those famous summer festivals we have all seen in Japanese anime. This hologram diva is wearing a red, yellow and blue short yukata, with images of fireworks on one of her arm sleeves. Her accessories include a kitsune mask on her head, as well as a uchiwa hand fan in one hand and a candy apple (ringo ame) in the other. She is sure to make a great addition to the figure collection, which is ever growing thanks to these subscription boxes. This is a traditional hand fan that is still pretty popular and iconic to own today. At least you never have to worry about your small electric fan running out of power, when you own one of these.<\/span><\/p>\n Moving on, we have a serving tray, featuring the characters from \u2018The Quintessential Quintuplets\u2019. An anime that debuted from Tezuka Productions back in 2019. The series follows the daily life of a high school student Futaro Uesugi, who is hired as a private tutor for a group of identical quintuplets: Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki Nakano. At the very beginning of the story, it is indicated Futaro will marry one of the Nakano Quintuplets but the identity of the bride is unknown until near the end of the story. The design on this tray is of the five sisters as they stand together in their yukatas, as fireworks explode behind their heads. This manga series has become very popular as of late, so I am sure there are a few fans of this series already that will be thrilled with this bit of unexpected merch.<\/span><\/p>\n Now what is the best function of a tray, other than putting snacks on it?! So our next item this month is an Azuki flavour Taiyaki. Which is a common sight at festival food stalls. This fish-shaped sweet pastry dessert has a large filling of red bean paste (azuki). However the outer pastry tasted more like soft ice cream wafers, perhaps that might have been the impact of a long journey across the globe. Either way, I would assume this would taste better fresh.<\/span><\/p>\n Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba returns once again in our Nihon Box, as we get a blind box from the Fuwakororin range. This series has six different character designs, all appearing as a mini round plush. The one I received is our lead man - Tanjiro.<\/span><\/p>\n And now we get to our final item for Julys\u2019 box, which is an Assassination Classroom towel. Why you may ask? A tad random maybe? Well Japan is damn HOT in the Summer, even during the matsuri festivals. So a towel is always essential to have on hand, especially for those that may be working and performing during these festivals. This \u2018mini towel\u2019, although pretty large in my opinion as you can see above as I hung it up on a door for size comparison. It\u2019s bright yellow in color, with Koro Sensei\u2019s face in the middle, with the shows title at the bottom of the towel.<\/span><\/p>\n So there we have it everyone, that was July\u2019s Nihon Box. Which ran with the theme - Natsukashi Vol 2. Which translated into English means Nostalgia Vol 2, as items included in this box takes us back to anime that came out in the 1980s. So let\u2019s get started with the usual and all important info - how you can order your own Nihon Box subscription!<\/span>\n\nNihon Box is a Japanese monthly subscription service that handpicks at least 6 items each month that are almost exclusive to Japan and ships them straight to your door. Their items are a mixture of Otaku Anime related merchandise and figures, as well as traditional Japanese items, from sweets to tableware. All of this is available to subscribe to for what I find a very affordable price each month.<\/span>\n\nLike SoKawaii, the more months you pay upfront the cheaper the price for individual boxes will be. https:\/\/www.nihonbox.com\/en<\/span>\n\nMonthly is \u20ac29.99 plus shipping costs<\/span>\n\n3 Months is a single payment of \u20ac86.97, making each box \u20ac28.99, plus shipping costs.<\/span>\n\n6 Months is a single payment of \u20ac170.94, making each box \u20ac28.49, plus shipping costs.<\/span>\n\nDue to the latest European VAT legislation, the overall cost after shipping has increased slightly. The folks behind Nihon Box have done all they can to make this transition as simple as possible, so they have taken the necessary steps & changes in order to include the VAT directly in the subscription's price. This change will normally be effective starting from the next renewal of your subscription, with the addition of the VAT in the final price (19% for Germany). And from August, as a small gift of appreciation to their overseas customers they will be including a 1000yen gift card to their YattaJapan.com store. \n\nOur first item this month is far from spooky, with this bright pink Pokemon alarm clock. This item was available in four designs and colors, including pink, yellow, green and purple. As you can see from the pink version above, it features Slowpoke, Mew, Luvdisc and Alcremie.This is a battery operated clock, with the battery not included. \n\nNext up is this Makeup Brush Cleaner and stand from Sanrio. Featuring two of my favorite girls - Kuromi and My Melody. Now this is a rather practical item I must say. As you can see from the packaging above, all you need to do is take the lid off of the tub, add some water or cleaning solution and wash your makeup brushes in it by moving the bristles along the pointed spikes at the bottom which help to remove the likes of foundation from the brush. Now I\u2019m not one to wear much makeup, so I\u2019m unsure as to how well this item actually works but going by just the design alone - it is actually quite clever and well thought out. \n\nMoving on now to our Twisted Wonderland item, with this acrylic stand featuring Idia Shroud. With one of seven characters included in every box, its a series that is still rather unheard of here outside of Japan. Twisted Wonderland is actually a Japanese mobile game created by Aniplex and Disney. Interestingly enough, the character designs, scenario and concept was actually created by the author of Black Butler - Yana Toboso. There is even an anime in the works at the moment and should hopefully be released sometime next year over on Disney+.<\/span>\n\n![\"sokawaiioct2021_4\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/sokawaiioct2021_4-768x1024.jpg\")
\n\nOur next item is a Narikiri face mask from Sanrio. I\u2019m unsure as to how many varieties of designs that were available, as there were at least two. I received the Hello Kitty design, while the Pompompurin one is advertised in the leaflet. These character designed face masks make a great inexpensive souvenir and are a good seller in Japan. This particular one is rose scented and claims to be packed full of everything your skin needs to feel revitalised including ingredients such as witch hazel water, damask rose, hydrolyzed collagen and soybean extract, it will also leave your skin smelling like roses. \n\nOkay so who here also loves Aggretsuko? Exactly, practically everybody that has come across her! Retsuko is a 25year old red panda, working in the accounting department of a Japanese business. She is the most realistic Sanrio character I have ever come across, as she depicts the many ups and downs of being single, dating and working life. In order to blow off some steam, she goes on solo trips to a karaoke booth to play some heavy metal as she screams out her frustrations. It is definitely an entertaining watch, and you can catch it all now over on Netflix. Season Four is set to hit screens shortly, on the 16th December. The plush also has a small black witches hat attached, a black and orange cape and the cutest of pumpkin wands attached to their right hand. \n\nSo let\u2019s begin with our first item this month, from one of the biggest anime from the early 2000\u2019s - Bleach. The show focused around Ichigo Kurosaki, who became a substitute Soul Reaper in order to save his family. Many of you would be very well versed in the happenings of this show, and rightly so! It is also about to make a comeback in the not too distant future, as they will be adapting the final arc of the manga - the \u2018Thousand Year Blood War\u2019. So in order to help us all cope with the franchise about to reach its final anime conclusion, Nihon Box has included this tissue box cover with Ichigo and Rukia on the front.<\/span>\n\n![\"nihonboxsep2021_2\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/nihonboxsep2021_2-768x1024.jpg\")
\n\nNext up is this bamboo fibre cup, featuring the main characters from the latest hit anime - \u2018Tokyo Revengers\u2019. An anime that features the lead character travelling backwards in time in order to save his friends from their untimely deaths and thus change the future for the better. Kind of sounds like Steins: Gate, but with middle school kids and a street gang. I have yet to start this show, but let me know in the comments below if my description was even close to the truth. Anyway this cup could either be used as such or simply as a bit of decoration, you choose. \n\nNow we move on to the traditional Japanese item for this month, with a \u2018Tanuki Okiagari-Koboshi\u2019. The Okiagari-Koboshi (\u8d77\u304d\u4e0a\u304c\u308a\u5c0f\u6cd5\u5e2b, getting-up little boy) is a Japanese traditional doll. The toy is made from papier-m\u00e2ch\u00e9 and is a roly-poly toy, designed so that its weight causes it to return to an upright position if it is knocked over. This one is made to look like a Tanuki, the same creature you would have seen in Studio Ghibli\u2019s Pom Poko and the anime series \u2018The Eccentric Family\u2019. This item was hand made in Japan and is absolutely adorable.<\/span>\n\n![\"nihonboxsep2021_4\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/nihonboxsep2021_4-768x1024.jpg\")
\n\nNext up is our food item, with this packet of \u2018ochazuke\u2019 featuring Tanjiro and Nezuko from Demon Slayer. \u2018Ochazuke is a simple Japanese dish made by pouring green tea, dashi, or hot water over cooked rice. Ochazuke provides a good way to use leftover rice as a quick snack because this dish is easy to make.\u2019 This packet is in collaboration with Demon Slayer with its nori seaweed flavor and one of 18 collectable stickers inside the packet.<\/span>\n\n![\"nihonboxsep2021_5\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/nihonboxsep2021_5-768x1024.jpg\")
\n\nNext up is our Himouto! Umaru-chan item, in this incredibly vacuum packed pillow. This item features our main girl Lazy Umaru -chan as a super soft pillow. Made of \u2018mochi-mochi\u2019 material, making her very huggable, so you can just laze around with her and watch some anime. This series is a massive hit with everyone in the Nihon Box office, as they have said themselves that they have been wanting to include this franchise for quite some time.<\/span>\n\n![\"nihonboxsep2021_6\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/nihonboxsep2021_6-769x1024.jpg\")
\n\nOur figure for this month comes from the \u2018Kaguya-sama: Love is War\u2019 series, featuring Shinomiya Kaguya herself in her school outfit. This figure is from the Coreful Figure line from Taito, and features Shinomiya in her school uniform while placing a cute flower barrette in her hair! This figure was probably quite popular in the arcade machines in Japan when it was first released, its a good quality figure, sturdy base and has a simple, but elegant pose. \n\nOur first item this month is perfectly timed with going back to school, as we all received this Himouto! Umaru-chan pencil case. From the popular and short lived 2015 anime, we get this slim pencil case that is entirely decorated in Umaru-chans\u2019 face. Featuring 13 various facial expressions that you are sure to experience throughout an entire school day! Like I mentioned it is fairly slim, so no point expecting to fit in a scientific calculator. Ideal for a couple of pens & pencils, as well as that all important Tipp-Ex pen so you can doodle a few mustaches on your new pencil case.<\/span>\n\n![\"sokawaiisep2021_2\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/sokawaiisep2021_2-768x1024.jpg\")
\n\nMoving on, we have a rather handy foldable straw and case from Sanrio. Available in four character designs, including Kuromi, My Melody, Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin. This set comes with two foldable straws, a cleaning brush and a small case that could very easily be mistaken for an airpod case. \n\nOur next item features the wonderful keeper of the Clow Cards - Cardcaptor Sakura. In this mini ring notebook, with a hardcover and star shaped cut out design that showcases Sakura on the front page. Also on each individual page there is a little Kero-chan on the bottom corner. \n\nWe return once again to Sanrio, with this My Melody magnet clip. A pretty useful magnet to keep on your fridge, to keep those all important school calendars or class timetables on hand. \n\nAnd now we get to our final item for this month, with this Pompompurin Sakura plushie bag. Not only is Sanrio\u2019s favourite Golden Retriever mascot carrying its own sakura flower, but he has also been dyed a soft pink color to match. This bag is so incredibly soft, if you could remove the straps it would make a great plush to just cuddle. However this plush is indeed a bag and a rather spacious one at that. Not only was I able to fit my phone lengthways, I would easily get in a wallet and keys. You could very possibly be able to go out for an entire day and still manage to just use this handbag for your necessities. It does have a rather long strap as well. When extended to its last it does come to just above my hip - and I\u2019m 5ft 2\u201d. As for practicality, I don\u2019t know what way you would style your outfit around this bag. It is incredibly girly and from where I live, it would be seen as incredibly childish to walk around with. Once again this is another item we have been sent that is either only going to get an outing at an anime convention or on the streets of Harajuku if one was lucky enough to go. Personally, I think SoKawaii needs to start rethinking exactly what they should be including in their boxes as I am strongly thinking of ending my subscription in the new year due to the impractical items such as this bag that are regularly featured. \n\nFirst up is our largest item from this month's box, with the \u2018Asuna Marine Version Figure\u2019 from Sword Art Online: Alicization War of Underworld. Made by Taito and only very recently released in Japan during July this past Summer. So this figure is still very new this year, always a joy getting such newly released figures through Nihon Box. Asuna\u2019s outfit consists of a navy sailor uniform, which showcases her long iconic hair. Although its not an outfit we actually see her wearing in the last season of the show, it does tie in with where she was on a secretive navy base at sea where Kirito was being kept. The figure is fairly good quality, similar to one you might see as an arcade prize in Japanese arcades. Around the 15 to 20 euro price range I would suggest, still far less than what you would pay at a convention with this particular figure going for in and around 30euro.<\/span>\n\n![\"nihonboxaugust2021_2\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/nihonboxaugust2021_2-768x1024.jpg\")

\n\nNext up is a plush for all you Seven Deadly Sins fans out there. Nihon Box has included a keychain plush of Hawk, the famous talking pig and Meliodas\u2019 lifelong partner. The plush has all the iconic markings and details as the character from the show and is quite a good looking replica. This is sure to be a fan favorite for many of the shows fans out there. This was also included in August\u2019 box as the Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light movie is still screening in cinemas over in Japan.<\/span>\n\n![\"nihonboxaugust2021_4\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/nihonboxaugust2021_4-768x1024.jpg\")
\n\nNext up is actually a Loyalty bonus item that I received in my box this month. Not every box will be receiving one of these items, but something along the lines will be included in your third consecutive box if you have a subscription. This month I received an adorable Pok\u00e9mon pen from the Sepia Graffiti collection that has been featured in many a Nihon Box over the years. Featuring a small group of Pikachu as they inspect a bottle of ketchup I believe, this pen will certainly be added into my collection right away.<\/span>\n\nIn fact I can use it right away on this City Hunter ring notebook that was included in everyone of the boxes for August. This series will be a massive throw back for some people, as City Hunter was originally serialized in Weekly Sh\u00f3nen Jump back in 1985 by Tsukasa Hojo. So merchandise for this work has become very rarae to find, making even just this simple notebook a must have for devoted fans.<\/span>\n\n![\"nihonboxaugust2021_5\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/nihonboxaugust2021_5-768x1024.jpg\")
\n\nWe are now onto our authentic Japan section of the box, with this porcelain tea cup and green tea. First up is our Made in Japan tea cup, which is usually made with no handles. This one has a beautiful design called a tokusa, which is named after the long winter horsetail plant the stripes resemble. Like a finer looking bamboo, the imagery around the teacup bears a resemblance to a blue tinted bamboo forest.<\/span>\n\nAs an added bonus, Nihon Box also included a packet of \u2018Hyuganatsu\u2019 Green Tea to enjoy in your new cup. This particular tea is a favorite amongst many during the Summer months as it can be enjoyed both hot or cold mixed with ice water. It\u2019s flavor comes from a native citrus fruit grown in the city of Hyuga in Ky\u00fash\u00fa. \n\nNext up is our Pok\u00e9mon item, which features this all important first aid necessity - an ice bag. One of your all time best friends, if you manage to twist an ankle all of a sudden. Instead of using a frozen bag of peas or an ice pack, throw in some ice cubes and sit down with your legs elevated in style with this adorable Pikachu decorated ice bag. The strong insulating material will keep those ice cubes cold for a couple of hours so you can get some rest! \n\nOur first item this month comes straight from San-X, with their Rilakkuma tray made from bamboo fibre. A more sustainable material that has become very popular with brands over the last few years, due to how quickly the plant grows and the fact it doesn\u2019t need any pesticides. This tray has a lovely print on the front of Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori dressed in their colorful yukatas as they enjoy a night filled with fireworks and tasty treats. The ideal way to enjoy a matsuri festival in Japan. \n\nNext up is our Pok\u00e9mon item from the Pocket Monsters Sepia Graffiti collection. We actually received another item from this very same collection in last month\u2019s box, with a washi tape. Now I am unsure as to how old this collection actually is, as I have seen on other websites that the washi tape was first released back in 2018. However this month we have gone a little more upscale, with this handy pouch case. This pouch is actually really well made, has a tanned look to it and you would almost expect that it was made entirely out of leather. The design on the front features an Eevee and Pikachu, as they do a bit of window shopping. As you can see, Eevee is taking interest in the three evolution stones on display in the window. Behind them is a cobbled street, with an old style phone box and lamp post. The whole look to this design, gives off a feel of old London in the last century. The script on the front is also pretty charming as well, as it gives a very brief description of the idea of Pok\u00e9mon. Now the pouch is snug enough, you would certainly fit in a normal of pens and pencils, perhaps some make up or cash envelopes. \n\nNow we move on to Sanrio, with this pair of My Melody Kitchen sponges. Now this item was in fact available in two different designs, with the iconic Hello Kitty being the other pair you could receive. These die cut sponges are just adorable, that it would almost be a shame to use them to wash a mound of dirty dishes. \n\nWhere or where was this several weeks back during the big Irish heat wave! Honestly could have done with this a while back. So we now move onto the Sumikko Gurashi part of our July box, with this electric hand fan. This fan would be the perfect accessory to accompany you on a trip during a hot summer's day. It\u2019s design is made to resemble an ice cream cone, with the characters of Sumikko Gurashi acting as the toppings. All you do is slide the cover over to reveal the fan, with a switch on the side to turn it on. Of which you can see I got Kiki in his blue yukata. This quality looking plush is well made, no loose threads or fabric. Well stuffed and stitched together. \n\nAlthough our first item this month doesn\u2019t originate from the 80\u2019s, it is definitely a trip from the past as Shaman King is making a big return! If you haven\u2019t heard already, the anime is getting a revival and is already being aired in Japan. With it hitting the rest of the World on Netflix in the coming weeks if not, this very second as you are reading this! Just to remind people of that fact, Nihon Box has included a packet of \u2018Onsen Maju Shaman King Chocolates\u2019. Now I have had this brand of chocolate before, and they are so good! These ones are having a collaboration with Shaman King at the moment, to promote the new anime. Each chocolate is individually wrapped with a character from the show. \n\nNow we travel back to the 80\u2019s with a My Neighbour Totoro tumbler. Now I got this exact same item back in So Kawaiis October box last year, so I have since re-gifted this to a very happy little girl I know. This hard plastic tumbler comes in a forest green color, with characters and designs from the famous film printed around the entire cup. It can hold 500ml, has a screw on lid and a straw making it ideal to enjoy outside and not have to worry about any summer bugs getting in for a swim. I wouldn\u2019t be putting this in a dishwasher however, as you don\u2019t know if these things are heat treated. So in order to prevent any mishaps, I would suggest just strictly washing this by hand.<\/span>\n\n![\"nihonboxjune2021_3\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/nihonboxjune2021_3.jpg\")
\n\nCarrying on with the 80\u2019s nostalgia trip, we received a rather large figure from Dragon Quest. The franchise is having another revival as a new anime - Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai hit screens just last year and is still currently airing. This has led to a new wave of new merch and figures being released, including this highly detailed figure of our main man Dai. In such a battle-ready pose, sword out and in the midst of a fight. All that's missing is a slain dragon or just a shonen worthy backdrop (something with a volcano exploiting seems appropriate). This figure deserves to be displayed and is sure to take up a nice section of your collection.<\/span>\n\n![\"nihonboxjune2021_4\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/nihonboxjune2021_4.jpg\")
\n\nNow I may not recognise this show, but I\u2019m sure at least one of you will. Cat\u2019s Eye follows the story of three sisters who have become formidable art thieves, as they try to \u2018collect\u2019 all the works belonging to their missing father. This shows\u2019 artwork may seem familiar to some of you, as Cat\u2019s Eye is another manga creation from Tsukasa Hojo. The same manga artist behind City Hunter and Angel Heart. This canvas bag really does show off his art style, with the three Kisugi sisters taking centre stage. The bag has drawstrings on either side and can be worn as a backpack, but it also has a handle on the top if you just wish to carry it about. However the drawstrings have nowhere to be tidied away if you wish to do this. This bag could very well be seen as more as a collectors item or art piece, instead of being used as a gym bag.<\/span>\n\n![\"nihonboxjune2021_5\"](\"http:\/\/comicbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/nihonboxjune2021_5.jpg\")
\n\nThis next item is very unique, as its made of a material that I think could be unique to Japan. When I mention the word Tatami, do you imagine the traditional tea rooms and Geisha in Japan? Cause that is exactly what I envisage. Tatami was most commonly used as traditional flooring in Japanese homes, hence why you never wear your shoes inside the home and must wear either your socks or house slippers. In recent times, tatami rooms and flooring have become more uncommon and are rarely featured now in modern house designs. As such the tradition is slowly dying and craftsmen have turned their time into making smaller items out of tatami. Such as the above Tatami pouch, which is from the igusa (common rush) plant, which is used in the making of traditional tatami flooring. This is a truly unique item, something I have actually never seen or even heard of before. As I just believed that tatami was just flooring. The infamous Shonen Jump title from Akira Toriyama, first debuted back as a manga in 1984, with the anime first hitting screens just two years later. The show has grown from strength to strength, making it an incredible and ever growing franchise. Having built up an audience over the decades, constantly gathering new viewers. So our final item for June\u2019s box is a mystery box from the Dragon Ball Adverge collection. A series of minifigures, featuring seven of the most iconic characters from the shows Namek Saga. Including not only Goku, Gohan, Piccolo and Vegeta, but also Frieza and two of his henchmen Dodoria and Zarbon. Pretty happy to say I got Freiza, who looks completely badass in his floating chair. Now these figures are very mini, they each come with a tiny dragon ball, which has no stand so it will get lost very quickly. So just be very aware of that, in case a little one or pet decides to pick it up.
