SUMMIT COMICS LAUNCHES COVER CONTEST FOR PRESENTS #1
Publisher’s second company-owned title to launch with fan involvement
Hot off the heels of Summit’s wildly successful comics debut with Summit: Pinnacle – Origins, the rising comics publisher is gearing up to launch its second label-owned title. Later this summer, Summit Comics Presents #1 will take to Kickstarter and feature the community in a big way: when Presents launches, it’ll feature a cover drawn by a fan.
“Summit has had 6 successful campaigns on Kickstarter, fulfilled Summit: Pinnacle #1, garnered great press, and continued to assemble an army of indie comic talent into an ever-changing community,” Summit Talent Relations Manager J. Michael Miller says of the company. “As a Group Editor, I’ve grown through numerous titles such as Wayfarer, Summit Presents, Bloodwake, Pinnacle, and many other stories since then too. That’s why I leapt at the chance to transition towards my new role as Talent Relations Manager.”
He adds, “To take that experience over the past few years and help the Summit Comics community continue to grow. Whether that’s by chatting with some of our loyal fans in our community Discord channel or announcing one of the first initiatives planned: the SUMMIT PRESENTS Cover Contest!
The goal of the Summit Presents Cover Contest is to help highlight other voices and talent within indie comics. We aren’t afraid to share the spotlight with our fellow creators!”

Artists will be tasked with drawing a cover featuring Juna Marris and Killstrike, with the winner being picked by Miller and Summit’s internal submissions team. The winner will then receive a monetary prize, complimentary copies of their printed work, and have their cover featured as one of the four offered in the Summit Comics Presents #1 campaign later this year.
