Monowave Launches Today on Steam and Switch

Explore a heartfelt world of emotions, puzzles and evolving abilities in Studio BBB’s award-winning adventure

Seoul, South Korea – September 16th, 2026 – Independent developer Studio BBB has today launched its heartfelt puzzle-adventure platformer MONOWAVE on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch for £7.39/$9.99/8.99€, with a limited-time launch 10% launch discount. Combining atmospheric exploration, Studio BBB thoughtful platforming and emotion-driven puzzles, MONOWAVE follows Mono, a newborn Guardian tasked with restoring balance to a mysterious world by reuniting four scattered Emotions: Anxiety, Anger, Sorrow and Happiness.

MONOWAVE sees Mono reunite the scattered Emotions one by one, each changing how they navigate and interact with the world. Anxiety lets Mono sense traps, Anger enables wall-jumps, Sorrow lets them melt through narrow gaps, and Happiness increases their jump height. As the adventure progresses, these abilities evolve further, giving Mono new ways to explore and overcome the challenges they encounter.

Mono’s abilities extend beyond movement, with the game’s 18 spirits each reacting differently to their current Emotion. By singing to nearby spirits, players can experiment with Anxiety, Anger, Sorrow and Happiness to discover 72 possible interactions that can affect puzzles and traversal. The four major boss encounters are similarly shaped by their ruling Emotion, putting players’ understanding of each Emotion to the test.

Beyond the main adventure, MONOWAVE features eight hidden stages, with two secret stages in each of its four main regions, alongside dedicated Codices covering spirits, environments, worlds and the four Emotion Spirits. Together, these optional discoveries offer plenty of opportunities to uncover more of MONOWAVE’s world and the emotions that shape it.

MONOWAVE is available today on Steam and Nintendo Switch. The PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are planned for release later in 2026.
