Steam Next Fest chart-topping and Australian Kickstarter record-breaking Loftia is available to play today on PC and Mac via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a Nintendo Switch version planned
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – November 3, 2026 – Independent developer Qloud Games has today officially released its highly anticipated life-sim cozy solarpunk MMO Loftia into Early Access for PC and Mac, on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Early Access launch marks the latest milestone in a journey that took Loftia from a dream shared by Qloud co-founders Michael Su and Martina Qin to a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign for an Australian game, and peaking as the most-played game during Steam Next Fest in October 2026.
Set across a vibrant world of floating islands, Loftia is designed around community, sustainability, creativity, and human connection. Players can build a home, grow crops using sustainable farming systems, rescue animals, take on cooperative adventures, and contribute to large-scale community projects as part of a living world that continues to grow alongside its players. Players can enjoy this adventure alone or with friends, in a shared world everyone can enjoy at their own pace.
“It’s incredible that after four years of development, Loftia is finally available to the public. It’s been a long journey to get to this point, and we’re incredibly proud of the work that the entire team has put into iterating the game and implementing the incredible feedback that we’ve received so far,” says Michael Su, Co-Founder and Studio Director of Qloud Games. “The job isn’t done yet: we’ll be continuing to make constant improvements and updates to the game through to its Full Release next year, and continuously beyond that as well. Our vision for Loftia is for it to continue to grow and evolve over time, together with its community, for many years to come.”
Where many MMOs center their experiences around combat and competition, Loftia focuses on community, cooperation, and shared progress. Players live alongside one another in neighborhoods, work together on large-scale world projects, and interact with systems inspired by real-world sustainability, from renewable energy and hydroponics to recycling and ecology.
The Qloud team has even ventured outside and recorded the sounds of nature to accurately build out the game’s ambient environment during development. This dedication stems from co-founders Michael and Martina’s desire to craft a living, breathing world built on personal touches and player comfort.
In addition to the emphasis on in-game sustainability systems, Loftia is helping reforestation efforts by supporting the environmental non-profit One Tree Planted. Over 200 million trees around the world have been planted as part of the work done by One Tree Planted in its mission to foster a sustainable future through innovative nature-based solutions. A percentage of the profits made from players who purchase One Tree Planted content in-game will be donated to One Tree Planted. More information is available on the official Loftia website.
“We are deeply grateful for Loftia’s support of One Tree Planted. Through their campaign, they will be supporting critical reforestation projects in areas around the globe most in need of restoration for communities, biodiversity, and the planet,” says Billy Dixon, Partnerships Manager at One Tree Planted.
“We’ve always known that we wanted Loftia to not be limited to just being a virtual online world – but for it to also have a positive impact on the world around us. And what better way than to work with an organization that’s actively dedicated to regenerating the natural world?” says Martina Qin, co-founder of Qloud.
Loftia launches at a base price of US$29.99, with a 17% launch discount bringing the introductory price to US$24.89, alongside regionally adjusted pricing of €28.99 (€24.06 with the launch discount) in the EU and £26.99 (£22.40 with the launch discount) in the UK, and other regional prices that are listed on Loftia’s Steam and Epic Games Store pages.
Loftia is available now in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store for PC. A Nintendo Switch version is planned.
