Eydigard Announces April 29th Steam Early Access Release Date
Shapeshift, fight mythical beasts, and rebuild settlements in Frostisen Studio’s co-op RPG, entering Steam Early Access April 29.
Narvik, Norway – March 11, 2025 – Frostisen Studio today announced that Eydigard, its highly anticipated historical fantasy RPG, will launch into Early Access on Steam for Windows PC on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Set against the rugged landscape of 16th-century Northern Norway, players take on the role of shapeshifters tasked with cleansing and reclaiming haunted farmlands.
Eydigard places players in the role of shapeshifters in 16th-century Northern Norway, blending authentic Norwegian and Sámi folklore with dynamic action RPG gameplay. Players can transform between human form and powerful animals (bear, lynx) to overcome challenges in both single-player and 1-6 player cooperative modes
Drawing inspiration from the exploration-driven storytelling of games like The Witcher 3 and the cooperative survival elements of Valheim, Eydigard combines immersive lore with strategic shapeshifting, teamwork, and evolving challenges.
