Embark on an Endless Adventure Anytime — Pixel JRPG Idle RPG Duelist: Idle ExpeditionÂ
One Interactive Studio and publisher Infini Fun have announced that the demo for Duelist: Idle Expedition, a pixel-art JRPG-inspired idle RPG, will launch on Steam on May 8, 2026.
Blending relaxing idle progression with highly flexible party-building systems, Duelist: Idle Expedition allows players to assemble their squad and let them fight, grow, and explore automatically — creating a fantasy adventure that continues even while players work, study, or relax.
Set in the pixelated world of the “Duelist Continent,” players can recruit heroes from more than 90 classic JRPG-inspired classes to form their own expedition team. The game features a dual-loop progression system: while your party continuously battles monsters and clears stages automatically on the frontlines, players can also manage and upgrade facilities such as taverns, blacksmiths, and shops back at camp to strengthen the expedition from behind the scenes
Relaxing Idle Gameplay with Constant Progression
Duelist: Idle Expedition is designed as a casual idle experience that can run comfortably while players multitask. Once a party is assembled, characters automatically battle enemies, gather loot, and continue growing stronger over time.
Players simply choose destinations and objectives, while their pixel adventurers handle the combat themselves. Returning to the game after work or school rewards players with piles of gold, equipment, upgrade materials, and reputation rewards — delivering the satisfying loop of constant growth and loot collection.
Massive Class Variety and Flexible Team Building
Despite its idle structure, the game offers deep strategic freedom through its extensive class system
The full version will feature:
- 7 main classes
- 21 sub-classes
- Up to 91 specialized advanced classes
Each class comes with its own unique pixel animations and skill effects.
Players are free to experiment with party compositions however they like. Build a classic balanced RPG party, create an all-mage burst lineup, or assemble an aggressive full-warrior melee squad — the game encourages creativity rather than forcing strict meta compositions.
Legendary Gear and Deep Build Customization
Supporting the game’s flexible class system is a deep equipment and customization framework
Players can obtain more than 200 pieces of gear across multiple equipment slots, including weapons, armor, and accessories. Among them are over 60 “Legendary Exclusive” items that provide major bonuses to specific classes, enabling highly specialized builds around favorite characters
The game also includes an enchantment system, allowing players to further customize equipment stats and tailor gear toward specific team strategies or weaknesses. Combined with randomized loot progression, the system offers long-term depth for both theorycrafters and collectors alike.
Build and Expand Your Camp
Beyond combat, players will also manage a growing support camp.
Operate taverns to recruit new heroes, upgrade blacksmiths to craft stronger gear, and manage merchants to convert excess loot into resources. Materials earned from adventures fuel camp development, while camp upgrades directly strengthen the expedition team in return.
This creates a satisfying gameplay loop where combat, resource management, and long-term progression all support one another.
Demo Features — First Look at the Duelist Continent
Launching May 8, the demo will support 15 languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.
The demo includes the following content:
Four Main Classes AvailablePlayers can choose from Warrior, Mage, Priest, and Archer, along with access to 30 specialized sub-classes. Whether focusing on frontline combat, ranged DPS, or support roles, players can freely create their first expedition team.
11 Stages to Explore

Three Core Facilities Unlocked
The Tavern, Blacksmith, and Shop systems will all be available in the demo, allowing players to experience the game’s camp-management progression loop.
Loot and Enchantment Systems Included
