CALLING ALL SNOW BUMS! ARCADE SNOWBOARDING ‘TRICKY MADNESS’ OUT NOW
It’s finally time: hop out your chair lift and drop into the slopes of this modern take on snowboarding classics like SSX and 1080° Snowboarding.

Austin, Texas, 15th November 2024 | Put on your helmet and get ready to experience the ultimate snowboarder’s paradise. Tricky Madness, developed by indie creator Nathan Dearth, is available on Steam. This game combines all the classic skateboarding elements into one exciting package. Prepare to throw yourself into the thrilling action of this modern reimagining of the beloved classics you know and love.

A 360° on the Classics

Beloved classics like SSX and 1080° Snowboarding captured the spirit of the early ‘2000s. Perfect for both newcomers and returning snowboard enthusiasts alike, Tricky Madness, celebrates what made the original series iconic and brings back a modern retake to audiences with a polished familiar trick input system, modern graphics, and system accessibility.

Wicked Cool Moves

Becoming a snowboarding legend is much easier said than done. Master the slopes with flashy, easy-to-pull-off tricks and a tight control system. Show off your gusto ‘n confidence as you perform the usual spins, flips, grabs, and grinds. To make things even more interesting, increase your Freaky meter by earning enough points through regular tricks, allowing you to perform special Wicked Tricks: Superman, The Worm, The Butt Slide, and more. Whip out your trick book at any time to memorize and perform different trick input combinations and directionals on the fly. To maximize your score, catch enough air to collect snowflake point multipliers and successfully land tricks to build momentum with a boost. The more points you earn before landing, the higher your boost levels will be. Use your surroundings by taking advantage of pipes and rails; perform rail grinds and board slides to achieve the fastest times. Remember, even if you eat snow, it’s no problem—just respawn and jump back into the action!

Multiple Games in One

Whether climbing the leaderboards or taking a free ride, Tricky Madness offers a variety of gameplay modes for everyone. Select a unique character, each with a distinct backstory, personality, and snowboarding tricks, to experience the main storyline campaign. Discover handcrafted maps, uncover hidden surprises, and search for secrets and collectibles in an open-world mountain setting. Challenge your friends in Multiplayer Mode or showcase your skills in individual events. In Race Mode, your goal is to become the fastest snowboarder. Time Trials Mode challenges you to score the most points in the least amount of time before reaching the finish line. Show off your style in Half-Pipe Mode by performing impressive tricks such as 360°, 540°, 720°, and 900°. In Slopestyle Mode, navigate through tricky obstacles while trying to avoid spills. If that’s not enough, you also have the option to design your own snowboarding map—the choice is yours!
