The sci-fi alien invasion simulator’s long war for early access is over
January 5, 2026 – Hooded Horse and Pavonis Interactive’s ambitious sci-fi grand strategy game – and the first game the publisher ever signed – has left early access. Terra Invicta is now available in 1.0 on Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, the Microsoft Store, and PC Game Pass.
After aliens are detected at the fringes of the Solar System, humanity fractures into seven ideological factions, each with a unique vision of the future, each vying for power among the world’s nations. Take control of Earth’s nations, expand across the Solar System to exploit its resources, and build space-faring ships to fight in realistic tactical combat.
Since launching into early access in September 2022, Pavonis Interactive has released several major updates for Terra Invicta, with significant improvements/additions including:
- An overhauled UI, as well as continuous improvements to the game’s expansive tech tree
- New and Improved tutorial
- Improved space combat mechanics
- New ship classes, hab modules, and other space-based content
- Exo-fighters for Earth nations
- New and updated regions, formable nations, etc.
- Two new scenarios – the quick-start “2070” scenario, as well as an updated starting scenario for 2026
- Continuous improvements to AI behaviour
- Countless balance adjustments and quality-of-life fixes
- Additional language support

The game is localized from English into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
Terra Invicta is available via Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft StMicrosoft Storeore for $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 / ¥4,980. It is also available for PC Game Pass.
