The latest update to Stellar Blade, a fantastic RPG, is the latest DLC Stellar Blade’s Nier, which is a collaboration with Nier: Automata. It’s not just the collaboration with Nier: Automata but additional collectables in the game. The DLC doesn’t include any new missions or additional new bosses in the game; it’s mainly cosmetic and collectable updates. However, a patch was released around the same time and included a photo mode, additional languages and more costumes.
Back to the DLC, it’s mainly the collaboration with Nier: Automata. A breakdown of the additional items below
- Four Nanosuits for EVE
- One Face Accessory for EVE
- Three hairstyles for EVE
- One cosmetic for the Drone
- One cosmetic for Adam
- One cosmetic for Lily
While this isn’t a traditional game extension DLC content, it does align with Stellar Blade and its inspiration, Nier: Automata. The DLC contains some additional music and content for the player, and it requires opening the game before using it.
The costumes and items are fantastic in fairness; they do add something additional to the game with their immaculate look and feel. They fit into Stellar Blade.
For someone like me who isn’t huge on character customisation and buying skins, the DLC differs from what I usually do; I want more gameplay, levels, and bosses. However, it’s a 10 euro upgrade and a skin upgrade with some additional music from Nier: Automata. It fits nicely into the game. If you enjoyed Stellar Blade and enjoyed Nier: Automata, this DLC will be up your street for more casual gamers; they may need to see the appeal. If you want skins and the updates, it’s worth it; the price is low for the more avid fans of the series, and it doesn’t come across as a cash grab but a relatively cheap enhancement. The additional free patches and updates that came out simultaneously as DLC give extra features, and the photo mode is stunning, so everyone’s a winner between the DLC and patches.
Enjoys more than the odd game, long time gamer, somewhat a technologist and everything else in between.
Also enjoys a good solid game of FIFA online. Currently PS4, XBOX 360 and STEAM.
