Beyond the specification list, what really stands out for the price is the magnetic Hall Effect switches. They make the keyboard ridiculously responsive, and the ability to fine-tune acuation distances per key elevates the gaming experience. With the addition of the 8K polling, vibrant RG, rapid trigger and competitive-focused features, you have easily gotten yourself a keyboard that is built for fast-paced and FPS gaming.
The retail packaging is fairly simple and clean. The front shows a full image of the keyboard, while the rest of the box focuses on the specs and features. Inside you will find the Flux 65 Model 5 keyboard, a detachable USB-C cable, a user manual and a 2-in-1 Switch keycap puller.

The QPAD Flux 65 Model 5 has a clean but gamer-focused aesthetic. The 65% layout so you get arrow keys and a few nav buttons without wasting desk space, which is perfect if you like a tight setup or low mouse sensitivity. There is no numberpad, no FN keys, no extra keyboard clutter, making it straight ot the point. The design really shines with the RGB. The lighting is smooth and evenly diffused around the keys, not harsh or blinding (fully customisable). It looks stunning in a dark room, but still stands out nicely during the day. The lettering on the keyboard is super readable, and the black keycaps let the colours pop without looking cheap. The overall build feels solid; it does not creak and stays planted on the desk even during long gaming sessions. Paired with a desk mat like the QPAD Edge XXL Wide, it makes the keyboard look way more premium.
The sound and typing feel on the Flux 65 Model 5 is where this keyboard earns extra points. Now, I loved the design for this keyboard, but there was just something satisfying about actually using the keyboard. The switches have a clean, controlled sound which is not overly loud (because of the integrated silicone dampening for reduced typing noise) but definitely not mushy. Each keystroke has a satisfying thick-lite vibe rather than a sharp clack. This is the kind of sound that feels good when you are typing fast or grinding games late at night without annoying anyone.

Some keys do have a slightly different sound to them, which were quite solid, especially with keys like the spacebar and shift, which have their deeper tone. The keyboard has no crazy rattling, no cheap metallic sound, but a consistent, smooth sound. For gaming, it’s responsive and snappy. The snappy feel to pressing the keycaps is extremely satisfying. I used this keyboard whilst writing a report and found it extremely comfortable to type with. This keyboard does not distract you, but it does its job and sounds fantastic.
The double-shot PBT keycaps are definitely another win. They feel durable, resist shine (almost have a matte finish to them), and will not get greasy over time, which is something I really appreciate for long-term use. The keycaps themselves feel nice to the touch and have nice grit to them, which is ideal. Once again, the magnetic Hall switch delivers insane accuracy and ultra-fast actuation, really setting this keyboard apart. Â Magnetic hall effect switches deliver mind-blowing accuracy and rapid actuation.

If you are someone who is into fast-paced gaming, the 8k polling is a game-changer. Every keystroke registers instantly, making movement and inputs feel extremely fast. This is paired with anti-ghosting and rapid trigger, which massively improve responsiveness and accuracy. Anti-ghosting is a feature that ensures every input registers correctly, while the rapid trigger allows keys to rest with the slightest release. I did notice that for these keys, you do not need to press that hard, and the keys bounce back nicely. The addition of these two features gives that edge for competitive players. As someone who previously used an average gaming keyboard, I could instantly notice the difference in my game play style when it came to competitive games, especially FPS, which allows me for better response.
The QPAD Flux 65 Model 5 is compatible with an app that can be downloaded through the QPAD website. Customisation is honestly insane for the price. The software includes six main tabs: remap, performance, advanced keys, macro, light and configure.

First and foremost, the connection with the keyboard and the software is almost instantaneous, with no delays or issues whatsoever. Key remapping is super flexible. Personally, I loved that there were three FN layers, which allows you to remap and choose from a selection of keys that can help you with certain keybinds in games, etc. Not just that, but the FN function, which several overlaid layers make shortcuts so much more effective.
The performance tab lets you fine-tune actuation points and sensitivity per key, which was something I was a bit hesitant to try, but it takes some experimentation to find your ideal settings. Macros and advanced keys are easy to set up, even if you are not super experienced with keyboard software.

RGB can be controlled directly on the keyboard using FN + Enter, but the software unlocks way more options. There are 23 lighting modes, and you can adjust the brightness, direction and speed as you like. The custom light was extremely fun to mess around with, as you can select specific colours for different keys to your liking.
This keyboard has insane customisation, and for the price you are paying, having the ability to configure the sensitivity, RGB, keycaps, and responsiveness to your liking, especially if you are someone who is into competitive gaming, is extremely important. The application is user-friendly, and adjusting the settings was easy; gamers can fine-tune every layer of this product.

I am very thankful to have been provided with the black version of this keyboard. The RGB pops way more compared to what I have seen with the white model, and the overall look is clean and sleek. It also hides dirt and wears better, which is always a plus (of course, this is just preference-wise).
As someone who has used bigger-sized keyboards, it did take a few days for me to adjust to the small, compact size of this keyboard, but once you do, you find that the keyboard’s compactness takes up less space and also allows for better precision in games. As mentioned earlier, I did use this keyboard to write reports, reviews and at first did find myself making so many errors because the sensitivity of the keycaps is insane. Slightly touching the key next to one will trigger its response, so it takes some getting used to.

I do like the fact that this keyboard is wired, which allows for better precision and performance in comparison to wireless keyboards, and the USB-C can easily blend into your setup without being too much of a hassle. Performance is honestly insane. As I am someone who plays both casual and competitive games on a daily basis, I found that this keyboard outperforms itself. When it comes to competitive gaming like playing Marvel Rivals, Valorant, I always find myself slightly tilting the keyboard on its angle, and with this compact design, it takes up hardly any space on the desk, and is solid. There is a bit of weight to the keyboard, which I liked, and that is evident in the layers integrated into creating this outstanding keyboard.
I was also impressed by how easy the keycaps are to remove and swap. If you want to customise further, standard PBT keycaps would fit perfectly. I would 100% recommend others to invest in this keyboard. You may not know of QPAD, but their recent product release line has been nothing but impressive.

If you are looking to upgrade your setup with a compact keyboard that delivers insane speed, deep customisation and clean modern design, the QPAD Flux 65 Model 5 is definitely worth checking out. The Flux 65 Model 5 from QPAD is compact, and its performance is outstanding, making it ideal for casual and competitive gamers. With features like 8K polling, magnetic Hall Effect switches, adjustable actuation and vibrant RGB, this keyboard feels genuinely premium without pushing into the over-the-top pricing. This keyboard enhances perversion, frees up desk space and handles everyday typing just as confidently as intense gaming sessions.
