EA SPORTS Celebrates the Next Generation of Hockey Talent
As part of our huge holiday content drop, EA SPORTS NHL 25 showcases the emergence and athleticism of next-generation elite talent as the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) takes center stage and launches in-game starting today.
The first-ever PWHL integration features the players and the six teams – the current PWHL champions, Minnesota Frost, alongside Boston Fleet, Montréal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charge, and Toronto Sceptres. Players respond and react more authentically courtesy of advanced body skeletons through SAPIEN technology integration.
The PWHL debut spans across Play Now, Online Versus, Shootout and Season modes, and PWHL uniforms can be selected in World of Chel, with players, logos and uniforms available in HUT. For a truly authentic PWHL experience, the update will also include a dedicated 30-game Season Mode with playoffs to win the Walter Cup.
Players, logos, and uniforms are available in Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT), enabling players to play with the best combined talent from the PWHL and NHL. To further celebrate the arrival of the PWHL, Hockey Ultimate Team players will receive an 83 OVR Team Building Choice Pack, featuring 1 of 6 players representing each PWHL team*.
PWHL is part of our commitment to give players more ways to play NHL 25. Recent content includes the limited-time NHL 25 Arcade event series, a unique and fun arcade-style 3-on-3 experience with Big Heads and power-ups. Players can look forward to 4 Nations Face-Off, a round-robin tournament hosted by the NHL and NHLPA featuring four international teams packed with superstars, launching in early 2025, and much more..
