PRIM is a creepy-but-cute point’n’click adventure game full of dark humor. When her mother dies, Prim finds out she’s Death’s daughter and now has to live with her father. But the Grim Reaper has strict rules and when Prim breaks them, things take a fatal turn. Can you breathe life into her misery?
After her mother’s passing, Prim discovers that her father is none other than Death himself. Forced to live with him in the Realm of the Dead from now on, Prim is determined to escape the Grim Reaper’s strict rules, for Death is anything but a natural-born father. But when she manages to flee on her 16th birthday, Prim’s own powers are unleashed, with horrible consequences…
In her quest to set things right, Prim must explore the Underworld, confronting dangers, but also forging unlikely alliances.
Can you help Prim find her place in the world, or will the consequences of her journey unravel the delicate balance between life and death?
At its core, PRIM is a story of a father learning to let go of control and a girl finding her place in the world. But it’s also a thrilling adventure, full of magic and darkness. On her journey, Prim has to switch between the Realm of the Dead and the Land of the Living, where she faces demons, real ones and ones within herself, while always being accompanied by her sidekick, an eye with spider legs.
Jonas Fisch from Frankfurt a.M./Germany founded Common Colors in 2020. He published 3 short freeware games: The Diary of a Roadie, Sidekick High and door. PRIM is Fisch’s first full-length title.
After a successful Kickstarter with over 2100 backers in 2021, raising about 68,000 Euros, Jonas joined forces with Application Systems Heidelberg as a development partner and publisher. They received a government grant of 175,000 Euros from the German Games Development Fund (Computerspieleförderung des Bundes) to partially fund the development. The total production cost went well over 400,000 Euros in the end.
Three years later the product is ready for release including an outstanding voice over in English and German.
