Tightrope Press is excited to return to the world of NO SAINTS NOR POETS for our second issue! This is a story about identity and pride, faith and cynicism, illegal motor-gondola races, turbulent love affairs, carnivals, sea monsters and social barriers.

After their beloved city of Serena sinks into the dark waters of the lagoon, leaving it half-submerged, a charming two-bit con artist and a disenchanted former priest reinvent themselves as delivery men working on the razor’s edge, bordering between sanctity and blasphemy on their motorized gondolas. As they fight for a brighter future, they soon realize that their past is not too far behind them.
Issue #1 was successfully funded and completed, and introduced us to our two heroes: The care-free, casual criminal-cum-delivery man Flynn, and his straight-laced delivery driver and roommate, ex-clergyman Pierre. After the city of Serena suffered from the Great Flood, it was divided by a Dam. The upper classes living in the Dry district claim that the omnipotent god Aestus caused the flood, and hypocritically assert that “Only suffering can save” those living outside their opulent walled city, in the Flooded Zone.
Where were we?
When Flynn and Pierre get a delivery job that seems too good to be true, neither of them suspects that their cargo will turn out to be a mysterious nobleman from the Dry district. Who is he? And is the lucrative delivery job worth getting tied up in it?

Issue #1 began at home, showing us that our protagonists live together, but despite all Flynn’s flirting and Pierre’s obvious but reluctant interest in him, they’re in a strictly “Business only” relationship. Issue #2 will go back to reveal how this unlikely duo came to be in this situation. Just as there are two sides to a gold coin, there are two sides to every story, and Pierre learns that even a scoundrel like Flynn might be motivated by more than greed after all. And… Didn’t we promise you a love triangle?
Hop on board and witness the next episode in this romantic adventure, where nothing is quite as simple as it might appear on the surface, and still waters run deep.
