Guns, goo, and terrible life choices. Die horribly. Laugh about it.
February 10, 2026 – One day a waste plant explodes. The next day, the city is drowning in slime. The locals are mutating. The monsters have guns. And somehow, this is your problem now.
Monsters and Me, the relentlessly chaotic top-down arcade shooter from GhettoCo and publisher indie.io, is out now on PC via Steam and GOG.
Built around fast, round-based mayhem, Monsters and Me throws players into nonstop waves of slime mutant rage freaks armed with an unholy combination of weapons, perks, supers, and very bad attitudes. It’s quick. It’s messy. It’s funny. It’s gross. And it absolutely does not care about your survival rate.
Players can dive in solo or grab a friend for local co-op and get straight to the important stuff:
- Turn on the power (because of course it’s off).
- Buy weapons and supers — big ones, loud ones, stupidly fun ones.
- Fight wave after wave of bloodthirsty freaks.
- Die horribly.
- Laugh about it.
- Do it again. But better. Probably.
The game features 18 upgradable weapons — including shotguns, rifles, flamethrowers, and more — each with three upgrade levels (yes, that is math). On top of that are 12 special abilities, five perks, and four playable characters — Brian, Bob, Nina, and Tony — each bringing their own vibe, catchphrases, and deeply questionable survival instincts.
With randomized waves, power-ups, and weapon drops, no two runs are ever the same. Add in fluid controls, crunchy pixel-art carnage, and comedic cutscenes packed with meme-ready moments, and Monsters and Me becomes the kind of game that’s just as fun to watch as it is to play — especially when things go terribly wrong.
Uncover the slime-filled truth behind the outbreak, evolve your loadout, and become the baddest post-apocalyptic slime-slayer this side of an arcade cabinet. Or don’t. You’ll still have a good time.
Monsters and Me is available now on PC via Steam and GOG for $8.99 USD, with a 20% launch discount available for a limited time.
Reload often. Trust no slime. And maybe don’t stand too close to the flamethrower.
