I was lucky enough to get passes for the EGX London, held from the 12th to the 15th of October in the ExCel London. I spent some quality time over the weekend at the gaming extravaganza that is EGX, and I had a great time. The last time I was at EGX was in 2019, and I was looking forward to getting back and seeing everything game-related that EGX had to offer.
EGX was well organised, and everything from getting my passes to being on the floor amongst the crowds of other excited gamers was easy and quick. The ExCeL and EGX had many food stands, etc., so food and drink were easy to get if you were lucky; there were free pizza slices when I was there.
The likes of Nintendo, Sega, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Activision and a whole array of Indie publishers showed a wide variety of fantastic gaming content for every player. In addition, there was a live Street Fighter competition, an array of retro arcade game cabinets, LAN areas, VR games, cosplay, tabletop games, and many excellent stalls for your shopping needs. The whole gamut of gaming culture was covered, and there were many surprises and great games.
EGX was buzzing, and the fun and family-friendly environment meant everyone was welcome and having a great time. I will cover some of the fantastic games and things I loved about EGX in a follow up posts.
Enjoys more than the odd game, long time gamer, somewhat a technologist and everything else in between.
Also enjoys a good solid game of FIFA online. Currently PS4, XBOX 360 and STEAM.
