Players are challenged to write short stories using four completely random words in this new party game for 2 – 4 Players. Whether it’s Sausage, Grandpa, Meteor, and Insolvency or something even more absurd, the goal is simple: be creative, be entertaining… and survive the chaos!

Each round gives players five minutes to craft a story based on four random words. But this isn’t your typical writing exercise.
During the writing phase, special items can appear at any moment. Type their names faster than your friends to activate them—like using a revolver to knock someone out of the game for 10 seconds. In Cool Story Bro!, being the fastest typer can be just as important as being the best storyteller.

Once the writing ends, the jury phase begins. Players take turns presenting their stories while others vote—like it or hate it. And if a story is truly unbearable? Just pull out the Rocket Launcher! Cool Story Bro! was created in just four weeks by German solo developer Mateo Covic, also known as ZoroArts. Inspired by his love for reading stories, he set out to turn creative writing into a fun, competitive, and chaotic multiplayer experience. Mateos previous game Paddle Paddle Paddle was one of the first friendslop games and sold over 230,000 copies already via Steam!

Each round is different since there are 3 ways to get random words:
1) Global Word Pool: Get 4 random words from a large, ever-expanding word database that continues to grow over time.
2) Custom Player Words: Each player can submit 8 custom words, and the game will randomly select 4 from the combined pool—perfect for inside jokes and absolute nonsense.
3) Twitch Integration: Activate Twitch mode and let your chat join the chaos by submitting words live using !submit word YOUR WORD.
