Summary:
The issue picks up where we left off in issue one, in the depths of the sea, with another monster that is fighting its way through an ambush of giant flying insects that seem to attack the smaller submarine as well, which swims through ruins.
Many of the attendants of the ship leave the ship to inspect the creatures, but to their misfortune, one of the flying insects attaches itself to a ship member and incinerates him by attaching itself to his head. Purple insects attach themselves to another ship member’s head to reveal images of giant mecha Hellboy.

The coloring in this issue looks great and keeps up the same quality that you would see in a regular Hellboy issue, as if Mike had full control of this miniseries. Mecha Hellboy finds himself passing through a dimension gate to find himself at the foot of the ruined ship, fighting off the insectoids.

The issue ends with robot Hellboy throwing the ship remains with the attendants inside the portal, only to stay on the other side.
This series is a short but fun series to read for readers who are already engaged with the Hellboy universe. The artwork looks great, and the story, I think, is compact enough to be somewhat satisfying for two issues.
Overall: 8/10
