Montreal, August 11 2026 – Echoes of Mystralia, Borealys Games’ spell-crafting roguelite set in the same universe as the award-winning Mages of Mystralia, has officially released into Steam Early Access. Placing you in the role of a Watcher, charged with protecting the Cycle of Memories and Mystralia itself from an all-consuming rift, harnessing the power of spells is the only way to survive the trials ahead.
Echoes of Mystralia’s open-ended spell-crafting system sees component layout and spatial positioning directly dictate a spell’s output. By physically arranging elemental components on a freeform canvas, you can unleash millions of unique spell combinations to suit your personal playstyle.
In order to elevate Echoes of Mystralia’s fantasy setting, Borealys Games has teamed up with the world-renowned Budapest Scoring Orchestra (The Elder Scrolls, Total War: Warhammer) to record a sweeping, fully orchestrated original soundtrack that brings every high-octane encounter to life.
Borealys Games has been clear about its intent to allow the community to help shape Echoes of Mystralia, planning to use its time in Early Access to refine gameplay, add QOL improvements, and shape the game’s future content, guided by community feedback. The team also plans to introduce new spells, puzzles, boss fights, narrative arcs and an additional region by full launch.
At the Early Access release, Echoes of Mystralia offers:

Three regions to explore, multiple fierce Guardians and Elite foes to defeat, hidden puzzles and Rifted Echoes to overcome, and permanent unlocks through The Lotus progression system inside the Azimuth Temple hub.
