A Focused, Hardboiled Action Game From The Creator Of Just Cause, That Wants You To Feel Every Hit.
No guns. No mercy. No refunds on bad decisions. Liquid Swords’ debut title is available today on PC for $24.99.
NACKA, SWEDEN — April 8, 2026 – Today, Liquid Swords, the studio founded by Christofer Sundberg and led by the senior team whose past work helped create genre-defining action experiences like Just Cause and Mad Max, released SAMSON™: A Tyndalston Story on Steam and the Epic Games Store. It costs $24.99 and delivers a brutal, and succinct, story where every choice matters and the city always remembers.
Samson McCray comes back to Tyndalston after spending time in jail, to find the city taken over by a new designer drug called White Whisper. For dealers, it’s a lucrative business, and for the customers, it’s a slow death. Tyndalston’s a city built from equal parts ambition, decay, and deeply personal grudges, with a debt that grows every single day and a sister being used as leverage by the people he owes. In Samsons’ hunt, he uncovers something bigger and more gruesome than he could ever imagine.
The team at Liquid Swords has built massive worlds before. They know the formula. With Samson, they threw it out. One man, one car (the Magnum Opus—it rules), a very bad financial situation, and a custom hand-to-hand combat system that makes every alley feel like a final exam. Smaller in scope. Sharper in everything else.
“I have spent the better part of three decades building games so large they required entire teams just to fill them with content. Then we made Samson. There’s no grappling hook, no wingsuit, no island that explodes at the end—and it ended up being something I am very proud of. The team poured everything into making Tyndalston feel real, earned, and like a place that’s been waiting for you to mess up in it. We’re just getting started with this world, and I genuinely cannot wait for people to meet it.” said founder and creative director Christofer Sundberg.
What You’re Actually Getting:
- A Debt That Hates You: It compounds daily. Every hour you’re not working, you’re falling further behind. Tyndalston doesn’t offer payment plans.
- Action Points That Actually Mean Something: A limited daily pool keeps the pressure real. Every job is a trade-off. Spend them wrong and tomorrow gets worse.
- No Guns. Seriously, No Guns: Fists, elbows, improvised blunt objects, and whatever’s bolted to the wall. Combat is grounded, punishing, and drawn from the same DNA as Sifu, Sleeping Dogs, and The Warriors.
- Cars as Blunt Instruments: The Magnum Opus is Samson’s personal weapon on wheels. Part-based damage, real physics, and the kind of vehicular chaos that made Sundberg famous. (Just more contained and deliberate.)
- A City With a Very Long Memory: Tyndalston tracks everything. Factions shift. Streets change. The people you cross don’t forget. Your choices are permanent and the city will remind you of them.
