HATFIELD, MA – SHP Comics and the work of their in-house writer Darin S. Cape expanded into all-ages storytelling last month with Zicky: The Wrath of the Rat King, the new series which featured a special new cover by artist Tony Fleecs in its first printing!
“This graphic novel is a personal story for me,” says SHP publisher and creator Shawn Hainsworth. “When my kids were little, I would pretend to be Zicky and tell them of the adventures I went on when they were asleep. They had a blast making fun of Zicky and his imaginary adventures. Years later, it was so much fun bringing this story to life with two outstanding artists.”
Whether Zicky is remarking on the fantastical world he’s found himself in or hurling insults at his enemies, our young hero will delight readers of all kinds. While this is a story for all ages, the series encompasses a rich narrative filled with vibrant characters and thematic depth to spare.
