It Takes a War, the new game from Thomas Mackinnon and Pantaloon, is out now on Steam.
The tactical team shooter has been confusing players and journalists alike since it was announced in September. “Was the game made in 2001 or is it set in 2001?”, “So is it just that one map, like?” and “What tf am I looking at!?” are all things that have been asked between now and then.
Missed the latest trailer? Because it basically doesn’t clear any of those questions up at all. It makes things more confusing, if anything.
“IT TAKES A WAR IS OUT NOW!” said Thomas, getting a bit carried away with things, “I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY IT! I’M SHOUTING BECAUSE OF THE HIGH OCTANE ACTION YOU’RE ALL ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE!”
Given all of this, It Takes a War is – very sincerely – a game that needs to be played to be fully understood. There are only so many words we can use to talk about it without diminishing the experience for you.
The game is out now on Steam priced $5.99 / £4.99, with a 10% launch discount. There’ll be a release on Itch.io to follow shortly.
