Here at POTW we make the tough decision of what to buy if you only had money for ONE book coming out that week… this is easily the best comic coming out any given Wednesday. Even though we’ve not read it yet, we’re assured of its greatness! …and we may be a day late for this one but NEVER a dollar short on our comics.
When Rob Liefeld’s Extreme Studios announced their relaunch I was skeptacle. The two books that did catch my eye were Glory and Prophet. I’d never read the any books with these characters before but the art looked pretty classy. After enjoying Prophet 21, I am quite stoked for Joe Keatinge and Ross Campbell’s Glory #23!
This is the paragraph where I’d normally rant about the genius of the creators involved but to be honest I’ve never read anything by either Keatinge or Campbell. The radical change in art style is what has sold me. No other book on the shelf looks like it. I don’t even really know the premise of the book other than it might be a warrior chick whipping ass. I do know it’s $2.99 and I also know I’m willing to give a random book a try every now and then with no merit at all. At worst I’m out $2.99 and at best I have a new great read to look forward to each month. Glory is new reader friendly too since it’s part of the Extreme Studios relaunch. Go to your comic shop and check this out. Prophet, for me, has made Glory a must get!
