Sci-fi indie Orphan launches on Halloween

Just in time for Halloween, the dark, sci-fi indie 2D platformer Orphan will launch on October 31 st on Steam and GOG.

Orphan is set in Appalachia and stars a young boy who appears to be the lone survivor of an invasion of Earth by an army of machines. Though the silhouette graphics may remind some of the puzzle-platformer Limbo, Orphan emphasizes action and adventure, featuring an array of alien weaponry, enemies and giant boss battles.

A 2D sci-fi platformer about a young boy who may be the last survivor of an alien invasion. Under the cover of night, he ventures out in search of other life and to seek revenge against the machines that have taken over the Earth.


Orphan was developed by the one-man studio Windy Hill after a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015. For more information, see the game’s Steam page at
