Well everyone, this is perhaps one of my favorite times of year when it comes to conventions as more often than not, there is usually a ton of new anime license announcements for the UK & Ireland made public from the distributors. Now I wasn’t at MCM London last weekend, so I am getting all this news from Twitter, Facebook and other websites.

And last but not least, we have Anime Limited (@alltheanime) announcements.

  • In the last few days it has been announced practically out of the blue, that Channel 4 (All4 app) will be adding 100 hours of anime to steam for free. Including the English dubbed versions of Cowboy Bebop, Durarara!!, Escaflowne, Cardcaptor Sakura, Megalo Box, Gundam: The Origin, Charlotte, The Dragon Dentist, Tokyo Ghoul, and Inuyasha! Still to be added at a later date are Kill la Kill, Gurren Lagann, Persona 5: The Animation and Sword Art Online: Alicization. Head over to https://www.channel4.com/ now to watch! All of this has been made possible by a joint partnership between Channel 4 (All4) and Anime limited.

  • Next up is a long asked for franchise that many fans, including myself, have been pleading with distributors to try and release for years. Cardcaptor Sakura, the iconic magical girl franchise that was created by CLAMP, will be getting its very own Collector’s Edition BluRay sometime in the not so distant future. I personally can not wait to see what Anime Limited do with this Collectors’ edition, and I hope that it is the original Japanese uncut version with Japanese audio.

  • Anime limited will also be releasing Production I.G’s action-detective series B: The Beginning as an Ultimate Blu-ray edition. As well as the 2018 anime series, the set will contain a 160-page A4 artbook; a CD of the soundtrack for the anime; and four A4 art prints.

  • There will also be a home release of the 2000 TV anime series Inu Yasha, based on the Rumiko Takahashi fantasy manga, although all details about this home release are TBC.
  • Anime Limited confirmed that it is still planning to release the second season of Love Live!, probably in 2020.
  • Anime Limited have also announced that they will be bringing Gundam The Origin V & VI, as a Collectors’ Edition BluRay before the end of 2019!
  • For 2020, they are also working hard to bring the soundtracks of Attack On Titan Seasons 1, 2 & 3 by Hiroyuki Sawano to Vinyl!
  • And lastly, Anime Limited have also mentioned that they will be doing a home release of Penguin Highway.

Now that is some amount of new releases, in the comments below let me know what you will be picking up and what is worth checking out. In the meantime, stay tuned for more reviews and an article on J-Con that will be happening in just two weeks.
