NGames reveals more of the characters set to star in the upcoming free-to-play RPG inspired by ancient Asian mythology
NGames, a leading online games publisher, has today revealed more of the godly characters set to play a major role in Divines of the East – a brand new free-to-play side-scrolling RPG coming soon to Game321.com.
Divines of the East is an upcoming free-to-play side-scrolling RPG 2D browser game that throws players into an ancient world brought to life with gorgeous, painstakingly hand-drawn graphics inspired by ancient Asian mythology. Strange and powerful creatures, Eastern-themed locations, and an exciting storyline are all awaiting players in Divines of the East; an RPG set to offer gamers a thrilling and truly unique taste of the Orient.
Players take on the role of Shennong’s reincarnation. Shennong was so popular in life that he made the gods jealous, provoking them to use his soul to bind the seals of the Devils of Five Elements instead of allowing him to reincarnate. When Shennong was eventually freed, the seal was broken and the Devils were free to roam again.
Luckily, where there is darkness there is often light, and where there is evil there is good. Today, publisher NGames has released a first look at the Gods of the Five Elements, who will each play an important part in Shennong’s perilous new life in Divines of the East.
The Metal God – otherwise known as the God of Justice – has the appearance of a rooster and is often found soaring across the skies on his two dragons. Formerly known as Rushou, Metal God is the White Emperor Shaohao’s trusty support and is in charge of the autumnal season. Rumours say Metal God lives in Mount You, which is surrounded by rich amounts of jade to the south and an abundance of relagar, aka Ruby Sulphur, to the north.
The Wood God, formally known as Goumang, is the God of Humanity and a descendant of the White Emperor Shaohao. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Wood God is in charge of the growth of trees, including taking care of the Holy Tree, Mulberry. Guomang’s femal apprentice, Linger, is the only known descendant of the Wood Clan.
As the grandson of the Yellow Emperor, Xuanming – or Water God, as he is now known – is a force to be reckoned with. Water God commands great power over water, wind, and plagues, and although his appearance may seem strange, there is no denying the wisdom and strength of this God of Knowledge.
A mythological character in China, the Fire God, formerly known as Zhurong, stands on two fire dragons and has flaming scales all over his body. According to records, he is the one who passed down the tinder and taught mankind how to use fire – a story that has given him the nickname, God of Gifts.
The Earth God is a mysterious deity. Leader of the Five Element Gods, little is known about the man formally known as Houtu, except that he commands great respect from his peers. His calm demeanour and attitude make one of the most trustworthy gods in Divines of the East, which is probably why his followers have nicknamed him God of Truth.
Divines of the East is coming soon to Game321.com. Publisher NGames will be releasing more information in the coming weeks.
