“Slice of SciFi” is celebrating their 500th episode on SliceofSciFi.com with a 90-minute episode to begin airing over Labor Day Weekend. “Slice,” as the fans reference the show, is to geekdom what the Daily Show is to politics – Slice covers sci-fi, horror and fantasy entertainment in pop culture, TV, film, comics, books, videogames and more. The Milestone Special will include highlights of the best episodes over the past seven years.

Slice is multi-platform Entertainment News, with 24-7 headlines and articles, an on-demand radio program heard on SiriusXM Channel 80 and online, and a web TV show seen on Youtube, serving a total audience of 500,000 during the first 6 months of 2012. The show is forecasted to reach 1 million viewers by year’s end.

“It’s been an amazing journey since we kicked off with our first show in 2005. We’ve hit our stride and we keep improving and delivering better quality shows for the fans,” said Michael R. Mennenga, creator and host of Slice of SciFi.

Slice fans are continuously surprised by the celebrity interview revelations they hear on Slice, ranging from actor John Noble (FRINGE) to Nathan Fillion (FIREFLY, SERENITY and CASTLE) to the cast and creators of TV’s GRIMM. The Milestone Special will be more of the same with airdates as follows:

∙Mon 9/03 9:00am – Ep500A 500th Celebration, Part 1
∙Wed 9/05 9:00am – Ep500B 500th Celebration, Part 2
∙Fri  9/07 9:00am – Ep500C 500th Celebration, Part 3
