Oxymoron Hardcover Gets a Little Bigger!

Successful Pre-Order Campaign Results in Oversized Hardcover
With one week to go in its successful
pre-order campaign for OXYMORON Volume 1,
ComixTribe publisher Tyler James announced that the book will now be an oversized hardcover. The increase from standard hardcover graphic novel size (6.625 x 10.25) to oversized dimensions (7.5 X 11) made popular by hardcover collections like THE WALKING DEAD, was made possible by surpassing $15,000 in pre-order funding through Kickstarter.
“On behalf of the entire Oxymoron team, we’re thilled with this new development,” said James. “From the very beginning, we set out to make the absolute best graphic novel possible, and in this case bigger definitely is better!”Pushing the Oxymoron campaign over the top was a mix of drawing new backers, and incentivizing existing backers to increase their pledges. Some of the campaigns more unique offerings include a complete set of the
ten hardcover variants (of which 5 have currently been revealed), a
Writer’s Dream Package where ComixTribe works closely with one writer to bring his script to life by providing complete editorial, art, pre-press, and publishing support, and a
ComixTribe4Life Package where the backer will receive every book published by ComixTribe for the rest of his or her life! With a week left to go in the campaign, ComixTribe is more than halfway through the
series of new incentives they announced after the initial project goal of $8,500 was met nine days into the campaign.

“Just shy of 300 backers have made this happen. Clearly, crowdfunding done right is a game changer for independent creators and publishers,” said James.
OXYMORON Volume 1, is a hardcover graphic novel collection of stories about a contradiction-obsessed supervillain. The Oxymoron, a character from ComixTribe’s maxi-series THE RED TEN by Tyler James and Cesar Feliciano, is being resurrected in this new spin-off anthology, featuring ten stories by hot up-and-coming writers and artists, including Jason Ciaramella (The Cape, Godzilla), Mark Poulton (Savage Hawkman, Avengelyne), Joe Mulvey (SCAM) and more, and is edited by James.
