Up to now the mature dark comedy horror series has delved into the life of the Devil’s granddaughter Danica, as she attempts to earn her own spot in the final showdown. Straight from the pages of Penny for Your Soul comes the story of Joan of Arc.
Equipped with a set of steampunk inspired angel wings, the Maid of Heaven takes it upon herself to liberate Maggie (Mary Magdalene) from hell where’s she’s been imprisoned since issue 7 of the first volume, Penny for Your Soul: War. Along the way she’ll encounter challenges unlike any she ever faced as a mortal warrior and discover new truths and old lies that will test her faith.
Written by Tom Hutchison, the 4 issue limited series picks up where volume two – Penny for Your Soul: False Prophet leaves off, delving into the mysteries of angels, demons and what’s really lurking under the old ruins of the Eternity hotel in Las Vegas. The talented JB Neto returns on pencils and Oren Kramek will continue to bring to life Las Vegas and the vast expanses of Heaven and Hell with his vibrant colors.
