Day one at C2E2
The show opens at 10am for professionals on Friday, and so a huge yet wonderfully well read horde of librarians descend upon the show. It seems every librarian in the state have been invited to the show – and it’s awesome. These are the people who feed children their reads and I end up chatting with many of them.
There were panels, but despite enjoying them, I wasn’t exactly excited and wondered what was newsworthy.
Reportage though – well I’m having a blast, met Robin Hobb, a burlesque group who do Star Wars styled shows, hung out and had beers.
DC are giving away newspaper/posters which are promoting Before Watchmen, but the Avengers Vs X-men beer mats are more of a win for me.
Some spectacular costumes and there is a fantastic buzz here.
